The great and the bad
I really want to give this property a 5-star rating. But, I can’t. The views are incredible and the property is beautiful. NOTE: IF YOU ARE SCARED OF DOGS, GO ELSEWHERE. We were greeted by the owner’s MULTIPLE dogs. It was difficult to get into the property because we thought we’d run them over. One of them even nipped a couple of us. The view from the patio where the fire pit is located is amazing. The patio also includes a large flat-top iron grill and a BBQ grill, a wood-burning fire pit and a propane fire pit. The inside is very nice. Two big bedrooms with queen beds and a queen couch bed. Only one bathroom tho, a bummer for 8 people. We had a great time by the fire pit and playing games at a large dining table. The hot tub felt nice but it’s actually on the upper level where the owners live. To get to it, you have to walk up a gravel driveway and across the upper deck, in full view of the owner’s living room with large windows, or you have to walk up a fairly steep gravel path that isn’t illuminated. And you can’t turn on patio lights from outside the owner’s level. So it’s sketchy after dark. It’s easy to hear the footsteps of the owners on the upper level. One of the bedrooms had water coming up in the plank seams from a water leak somewhere. And both of the ottomans have obviously been peed on by a dog or dogs. Maybe the same dogs that woke us up both mornings, barking around 6:50am. And a neighbor also has a rooster… The owners were very nice people tho.

Holiday Getaway 2023
We loved every minute of it. The location is amazing and the property was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We enjoyed playing in the snow right outside the property doors. We also enjoyed the property pups. Morning walks in the country and breakfast from the Blackstone grill were the perfect start to our day. We will be back!

Modern small basement unit in the country
We had a great time relaxing with friends at the location, surprisingly close to town. Great AC and comfortable furniture and nice amenities. Nice view of the countryside. Some cons were the dogs roaming around that peed on our cars multiple times (!) and pooped right in front of the patio, and the lack of an oven and dishwasher despite the listing describing a kitchen and not a kitchenette.

WE HAD PAID IN FULL A MONTH BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE AND RENTED A CAR, PAID AIRFARE, AND TOOK TIME OFF FROM OUR JOBS. THIS WAS THE WORST ORDEAL WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND THERE WAS NO EFFORT MADE TO ASSIST OUR FAMILY OR TO PROVIDE ANY OTHER ARRANGEMENTS. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HOST!

Nice Quiet Hideaway
This is a well located property that's far enough from Leavenworth to be quiet but really only a short drive away. The property was clean and comfortable, but it's important to keep in mind that the kitchen is not a full kitchen (no stove, no dishwasher), though there is a BBQ and a flat top outside.

AMAZING!
This place is amazing. It housed 2 adults and 5 children from the ages of 6 to 13 years old, which the kids had a blast. The views of the mountains are amazing and the pictures do it no justice. It’s a hop skip and a jump from downtown and the owners are so hospitable and accommodating ! We will definitely be going back and would recommend this 10/10!

Peaceful skiing getaway
We spent the day skiing Stevens Pass and arrived to The VRBO in about 45 minutes. Immediately had a hot tub in the large hot tub...It was awesome. We had dinner in Leavenworth which is 5 minutes away and woke up the next morning bright and early for another great ski day at Stevens Pass. This home is brand new, very nicely furnished with great finishes. We loved the kitchen and great sofas for the living area, big screen tv. Kitchen is well equipped. This is very spacious, comfy beds in 2 bedrooms and comfy sofa hide a bed. We met the owner, very very nice guy, any questions very easy to get a hold of! We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone!!! Very Lovely.

Beautiful home, memorable stay!
We really enjoyed our stay in Unit B, which was even more impressive in person. The home was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen had many useful items available and overall the home was just perfect and well stocked with high quality towels, etc.. The owner/property manager was very easy to connect with. We enjoyed sledding down the hill directly on the property. Loved that were less than 10 minutes from downtown Leavenworth.

Perfect Winter Getaway!
Everything was perfect! We had a blast sledding down the hills in the morning and winding down in the cozy living room at the end of the night. Our dogs even loved played with the other dogs that showed up on the property! Just be on the lookout for other dogs when turning into the driveway!

Almost ideal family trip
I am so thankful to Susan for saving the day. Unfortunately, the property manager made a big mistake concerning our check-in, but Susan (the property owner who lives onsite) saved the day. The property manager failed to send the access code; thus we were stranded for hours until Susan’s arrival/assistance. All in all, it was a nice trip—beautiful home, great location, excellent outdoor space, vast views of the mountains. Once we finally got into the property, we had a great time.

My wife and I had an amazing time in your town with the use of unit B (basement section) of your gorgeous home as the base camp of our adventures! Great location close to town !! Had a local coyote out in the fields doing his morning hunts that added to the magic of out stay with you! Sue was great and got the pleasure of meeting her beautiful well behaved pups as a bonus!! The house is beautiful and the hostess was lovely. We appreciate that it was a dog friendly property but the owner has dogs of her own and the neighbor dog is there a lot and our dog is scared of other dogs so it was a little stressful for her. But it’s a beautiful place with a beautiful view.

This was a very deceptive listing. This rental is only for the BASEMENT unit. THERE IS NOT EVEN A STOVE in this unit. Although it does say, in very small print, that the rental is only for bottom floor; the owner includes pictures of the whole house, with a gorgeous kitchen and fireplace and hot tub and all the amentities on her listing. The owner allowed us to use her stove because as a family of 5, we had brought all our own food to cook for the weekend. When we complained about the deception, she admitted that this had happened SEVERAL times before to other renters on VRBO yet she never had changed the listing to reflect that listín is only for the basement. They also have several dogs that they own and are in the neighborhood that would come to the unit and go poop all outside of our door and no one would pick it up! It was disgusting and irresponsible. On top of all of this, owner allowed us to use the homes hot tub ( which is in the second floor so it is the owners) and I came home with a terrible case of hot tub folliculitis that I have to go to the doctor to get treated for. We used VRBO one other time last Spring and had several problems so this will be the very last time we use VRBO!

Our amenities are listed correctly, and we were glad we could accommodate your request to use the oven and stove. The hot tub is professionally maintained. We have confidence that it is safe for our guests. County living is unique. We have many furry visitors we enjoy. We understand not everyone may share our view. VRBO is a great way to locate amazing places to stay. The search features are a great way to find a perfect fit for your vacation. I would give them another try. Perfect placement
This property is perfectly far enough from town to get away, but close enough to take a taxi if need. A short 5 minute drive and you can be in the heart of Leavenworth. Sue is amazing and extremely accommodating for my family. The home is phenomenal and dog friendly. I would highly recommend a stay here!

The property is immaculately kept with a beautiful view. It’s just a few minutes from downtown Leavenworth and just up the road from the Reindeer farm! We wanted to stay somewhere quiet but close to town. The unit felt brand new. The kids loved the hot tub. The host was lovely and helpful.
