Charming Rose Lake beach house

One of the few remaining vintage cottages on Rose Lake. Featuring fantastic views and a sandy beach. This updated (but still old-school) airy cottage is a great escape for rest and relaxation, or activity and adventure.

There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a full. The sofa in the living room converts to a full, and the loveseat on the porch has a pull-out twin.

Whether it’s using the available kayaks, fishing, swimming, or just looking to get away, this cottage is a perfect destination. With one of the best views and sandy a shoreline, you’re sure to enjoy.

Biking and hiking trails are close by for exploring and evenings spent around the campfire provide lasting memories.

Rose Lake is a 370 acre all-sports lake located in Osceola County. Travel times from Grand Rapids area are less than 1.5 hours, and Detroit area less than 3 hours. Conveniently located for day trips along Lake Michigan’s shoreline, sand dunes, Traverse City, Frankfort, and many other popular destinations.

I’ve added some driveway entrance sequence photo to the album, as finding the cottage can be tricky. Just look for the road marker and then make a left (U-turn) into the next driveway. Parking is at the back of the cottage at the top of the short stairway. There’s room for 2 vehicles on the grass parking area.

We had an enjoyable getaway inside this very cozy cabin with spectacular lake views. The cabin was small but clean with lots of updates. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the beautiful outdoor areas due to the palpable pot smell from the Mustang Ranch cannabis farm in the area.

We had an amazing long weekend on Rose Lake. The cottage is so cute, and was just right for our family. Highly recommend staying here. Lots of family fun with swimming, kayaking, fishing, playing games, grilling out, and s’mores around the fire pit. Perfection.

Great location

Great location awesome view of the lake. Loved kayaking with the kayaks that were available for use just needed our own life jackets. The house can be a little tricky to find since there are no house numbers but over all will definitely rent again.

Beautiful and Peaceful Retreat

The Perfect Lake Cottage

My bestie and I loved our stay at Craig's cabin. The views of the lake are ever present. This small cabin is laid out well for perfect comfort. I loved soaking in the October sun in the kayak. Caught a fish off the dock and made s'mores by the fire. It was Perfect!

Nice spot on the lake

Tucked in a calm spot on Rose Lake, there is a nice 'treehouse' feeling deck overlooking it. Not too far to take day trips to Luddington, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. Second time staying and enjoyed both times.

This is a great place if you're looking for a low key place to relax. Our family absolutely loves the lake, its really what makes this place so special. The house is quaint and comes stocked with all the basics you need. Neighbors are also great and you get a lot of privacy. Great stay 2nd time around!

Very nice property with everything as indicated. Hosts were seen occasionally and very accommodating. Layout of cabin makes relaxing very easy. Grill and charcoal starter made outdoor cooking great. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Travelers in Leroy has great food. We plan on a return trip.

Amazing relaxing short stay in Rose Lake.

The cottage is really nice and the location is great. Loved being able to Kayak right in the back and the dock was also nice. The cottage had everything one needs. The porch sunroom was very nice and the wifi was not bad. There is a grocery store about 10 mins away driving. The lake was beautiful and so is the cottage and location. The hosts were great in reponsing to my questions. Highly recommend.

Loved this place. Craig was a great host and the home was great for us. Nestled on a lake almost in the middle of nowhere but an hour or two away from plenty of things to do. Top Notch Hosts and Property

Loved our holiday weekend stay at the lake. Craig and Steve, the brothers who host the property, are right next door and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Relaxing Getaway on the Lake

Cozy place for our family of 4 to hang out together. Sunrises on the lake were stunning. Stargazing on the dock took our breath away. Our hosts could not have been more helpful - especially when we lost power (this was a very unique event for the area). Wonderful time to play games or sit by the fire at the cabin or to check out trails and boat rentals in Cadillac. Also not too far from Traverse City. We can't wait to come back!
