Beautiful log cabin with all the creature comforts of home. Private fishing lake

Escape to a peaceful log cabin in the woods located in beautiful Southwest Michigan. The cabin is part of a Centennial fruit farm with plenty of land to explore and a private 45 acre fishing lake. Spend the day relaxing in the cabin, baking, reading, sitting by a camp fire, reconnecting with loved ones, fishing, enjoying nature, and relishing the abundant peace that is present here.
It's in the heart of wine/beer country with easy access to many golf courses, Lake Michigan, nature trails, restaurants, and so much more. Come to this area any time of the year to take in the scenery and enjoy the local activities - golf, skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing/skating, farm markets, festivals, fall color touring, beach days, hiking, canoeing, and shopping to name a few.

The cedar log cabin was built for our Grandpa in 1983. The living area is open and inviting with a fireplace built using field stones collected on the family farm. It features a newly renovated kitchen with all of the utensils you might need to create meals during your stay. The cabin has central air/heat. Enjoy sitting on the covered front porch that looks out over the wooded yard which includes a swing set/play fort for kids. The back deck includes a gas grill (small charcoal grill is also available), table and chairs. Surrounded by a split rail fence, the back yard looks out over a wild flower field where deer are sighted almost daily. Spend the evenings by an outdoor fire (pit and wood provided) and enjoy roasting marshmallows and gazing at the stars.
Grandpa’s cabin has been the setting that holds so many wonderful memories for our family. We hope you’ll experience your own special times here as well.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and comfortable accommodations at Grandpa's cabin. The bonfire and quiet setting were perfect, the sunrise every morning over the meadow while sitting at the bonfire were amazing. Will definitely come again!

What a beautiful cabin in a quiet, private setting! Our family of 6 really enjoyed our time at Grandpa’s Cabin - close enough to beaches, dining & entertainment to make for a fun time & secluded enough to have a place to unplug & unwind without worrying about the neighbors. Our kids 16 really enjoyed the private lake as well! Clean, nicely appointed- would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved the location! The dampness and old smell of the cabin was a bit much but this is something that’s hard to address. The beds were comfortable and the property was wonderful. Our kids ran around picking apples, looking at fish in the lake and just exploring. We did a bonfire and ate smores. It was a great place to connect.

Bachelor Party

Me and 6 other guys stayed here for a weekend while we fished and golfed. House was perfect for us had a nice backyard to play some yard games. The amount of space was truly amazing.

Cozy Cabin Retreat – A Perfect Getaway!

We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The hosts were responsive and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Great Family Gathering

This was my second stay at Grandpa's Cabin and absolutely loved it! I don't get to see my dad and brother as much as I'd like but we managed to get together for "deer camp". We used the cabin as a base for our nearby adventures and it was fabulous. Highly recommend.

Beautiful nature preserve and cabin

We needed relaxation and restoration and that is exactly what this lovely cabin delivered. Well appointed kitchen so we were able to eat dinners in but not too far from south haven where we were able to enjoy the art fair and beach. Lovely to wake up each morning to a symphony of birds and visits by deer.

Just What I Needed

The cabin is simply amazing. Perfect as a base camp for nearby Fall activities! The setting was fabulous as we were surrounded by woods just getting ready to change colors for the season. Can’t wait to go back!!

Peaceful Retreat

This cabin is located in a very quiet wooded area. Cozy, warm, inviting, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. This was a nice retreat to get away and share with friends. We enjoyed walking back to the pond and seeing the views and wildlife including bluebirds and a Pileated woodpecker! We enjoyed shopping and eating in South Haven. We had a wonderful stay!

Grandpa's Cabin

This was the absolute best place we've ever stayed. The price was cheaper than renting 2 hotel rooms for 3 nights. The cabin was rustic and so beautiful, we had our daughter and grandkids with us and they had a blast. It was located close to our relatives, on a lake with apple trees. Great place for us

This was a great place for our needs. We are three old friends who enjoy golf. We had plenty of options near the cabin. The cabin was perfect for post golf. The grill was clean and easy to use for our dinners. Our thanks to Susan and Pat.

Warm, cozy & inviting

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin is spacious and well appointed. There are thoughtful details throughout. The cabin is somewhat remote, groceries, restaurants, etc. are a little far to get to. That said, it's location is very private and peaceful. Finally, we loved making a day trip to South Haven. Wonderful town!

Wonderful stay

The cabin is gorgeous! It is surrounded by woods and a field of wildflowers in the back. We were lucky enough to see all types of wildlife, including deer wander a few feet from the cabin. We wanted a quiet place to stay. This was perfect. Thank you.

Cabin Getaway

Wedding weekend

This Vrbo was the perfect location for my sisters wedding at “something blueberry farm” down the street. The log cabin was absolutely idyllic and we would stay here again in a heartbeat if we are ever in the area. Beautiful cabin!

We had a great stay! We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and spacious, open layout main floor. The only small issue was that the staircase and balcony do not have spindles, so something to be aware of if you have small children. However, there is a baby gate available.

Perfect Fall Weekend

This property is truly beautiful! The cabin is well built and stocked and very clean. The setting is idyllic, from the yard around the cabin, to the native grass and wildflower field behind, to the orchards and the lake—you can sense the love the owners have for the land. Fishing was excellent, and we saw abundant wildlife. Communication was prompt and friendly. One of the best stays I’ve booked. We plan to make it an annual event here!
