Good food in a nice hotel.

Great location with a fantastic view of Lago Maggiore. The staff is extremely friendly and service minded and the food is exellent. A good place for a romantic stay.

Amazing views and comfortable room.

Incredible view of the lake from the balcony of a comfortable and spacious room. Great bed. We loved the spa with a panoramic view of the lake. We thought the breakfast was expensive at €22 a head for what was on offer.

Wonderful.

Great location in Laveno. Our room faced the water and made for great sunsets. Nice bed and bathroom. The staff was pleasant. Parking was easy and we were only a few minutes from town and the ferry. The on-site restaurant is excellent. Breakfast, for a fee, was worth it.

Lake Maggiore

The hotel and staff are lovely. The views from the room and the terrace across the lake are incredible and very easy to get in to Laveno with free parking Mon to Fri (pay weekends). The ferry from Laveno to Intra is cheap and regular, and connecting to other ferries to other destinations is very easy and cheap. The breakfast offers much choice and the food from both restaurants on site is fabulous. La Tavola experience was amazing with dish after dish being impeccable in presentation and flavour. Highly recommend staying here

This is a wonderful property with kind and very special owners. The food and service was so amazing. When I asked for a taxi to the train station - there were none available so they have a ride to the station! Above and beyond!

Beautiful place but service missing

Beautiful place and facilities but lacking service: Reception always empty, kitchen always closed, asked room service they never brought it to us, we went to the spa but sauna and hot steam were off and there were no towels… strange way to manage the hotel…

We loved the private and cool balcony with wonderful vistas across thd lake. We loved watching the coming and going of watercraft on the lake. We enjoyed the welcomes of the coot family and fish of the lake every morning. We were grateful for gluten free options and a lovely breakfast rach new morning. We loved the delicious, flavourful food which was created by fine food craftsmen. We were grateful for our little hire car to help with the tricky corner road nearby. We loved the style and ambiance of this beautiful hotel and recommend it to other travellers who want to enjoy Lake Maggiore and Italy with just a short hop, skip and jump to Switzerland too. We spent a week touring the high pass roads between Italy and Switzerland before a rest by this gorgeous Italian lake. Loved it!

Super hotel rechtstreeks aan het meer van Maggiore met een prachtig uitzicht. Het personeel is vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. Zij doen hun best zo goed mogelijk engels te spreken, een pré. Het ontbijt en diner waren top, niet veel maar wel genoeg keuze en alles met veel passie bereid. De kamers zijn modern vormgeven en waren leuk aangekleed bij aankomst. De bedden zijn zeer comfortabel, de (regen)douche is ook fijn alleen werkt de temperatuur soms want omslachtig. Parkeren is soms even puzzelen, zeker als u over een lange auto beschikt. Er is een kleine parkeerplaats op het hotel zelf en een naast het hotel. Op een wat drukkere avond kan het soms lastig zijn auto's niet in de weg te staan maar het personeel weet hier vaak raad mee. Hieraan valt verder weinig te doen gezien de ligging dus dit is geen negatief punt waard. Al met al een top hotel en zeker een aanrader.

Charming hotel on a beautiful spot

We stayed three nights at Il Porticciolo and found it very charming and cosy. Location right on the lake-front is fabulous and you can admire the scenery from your own balcony or the beautiful breakfast/dinner terrace. I'll remember nights on the balcony admiring the lights across the lake. Service was friendly and impeccable and the room very comfortable, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Laveno-Mombello is rather small and this hotel is a bit outside the village, so a car is highly recommended to get around.

Pas de climatisation à notre arrivée, la chambre indiquait 26 degrés !!! Au début, le patron nous a dit que l’hôtel était complet mais vu notre mécontentement, ils nous ont octroyé une chambre climatisée pour la nuit tout en laissant nos bagages dans la 1ère. Ce n’est que le lendemain que la patronne nous a libéré une chambre climatisée donc quelques déboires à notre arrivée!! Vue et paysage idylliques, belle chambre avec terrasse mais petits déjeuners moyens au prix quand même de 14,50€!

Fantastic hotel and restaurant with stunning lake views. Only downside is that it is not very easily accessible by foot, as it is outside Laveno Mombello along a few hundred metres of road with no footpath.
