"Idyllic location on a hill overlooking the ocean with a gorgeous property and bungalow. Knox and Kelera treat their guests like family and are incredibly gracious. They made a lovo dinner for us which was delicious and Knox drove us to all of our day trip destinations filling the driving time with interesting observations about the island and history. "This is a great place to stay with a great family. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, had a wonderful easy time and were very sorry to leave. This isn't a hotel or resort - it's a homestay and we really felt at home. Jale, Nita, Sia and Jima are creative, interesting and generally exceptional people and perfect hosts. They can organise lots of things for you to do, but they don't 'push' anything. It's up to you. The food was REALLY excellent - some of the best food we've eaten, ever, anywhere. My two boys (aged 8 and 10) and I stayed for four nights and would have happily made it forty if we could have. Leaving was a bit of a shock to the system! If you and/or your kids like playing rugby, it's an especially great place. More broadly, Taveuni is a beautiful island - quiet but with things to see and do. Really worth a visit. Give it as much time as you can. Vinaka Vaka Levu - we look forward to coming back which we will certainly do. "
"The Bures are private and large, beds very comfortable. The setting and grounds are beautiful, their Staff works EXTREMEMLY HARD EVERYDAY. Everyone smiled all the time and service was perfect everyday ! Food is Chef Quality Liza, the Chef was excellent with her selections everyday. The Bar was perfect and service as well. The diving is the best I have seen in the world for soft coral, the White wall was extremely impressive. All the dives sites are healthy, Lui our divemaster was excellent. Hal who runs the Dive Operation was on point everyday. Can't say enough about the whole staff. My only suggestion is for the Owners to pay their Staff more, they proved to us they definately deserve it !! I've been diving the whole World for 32 years as a Dive Master, Tavenui Dive Resort ranks up there as one of the very best !!"
