The Lausanne Cathedral was built over many years, starting in 1160. It is still today standing tall with a watchman up it's tower telling the passersby the time of night, and watching the city. You can even get a meeting with him if you want! The vista from the tower is amazing, at any time of day. And if you are lucky, you can even get a special evening when the Cathedral is lit up with thousands of candles... simply magical! #MyBackyard
