I would rate this country apartment as among the best places I've stayed. It was the cleanest, most comfortable, well appointed apartments. It's location is perfect for being out in the country so we could see the stars, yet, close to the dream parks, like 5 min to West Oneonta. We felt right at home, but in a country setting. I would highly recommend this beautiful apartment to anyone coming to this area.
Second time staying here. Reserving was very easy and quick, found no surprises and enjoyed the quietness of location, cleanliness of property and closeness to attractions, will be using again, thanks
This was a GREAT location to stay for Cooperstown All-Star Village. It was about 7-10 minutes away and very easy to get to--a couple of turns down a very scenic road and you are at CASV. It was also a beautiful place to stay. The property is a farm and it is gorgeous. I got lots of beautiful pics with mountains in the background, sunsetting, the old barn & silo. Our first night there, the sky was crystal clear and there were billions of stars to see. We live where there is a lot of light pollution, so seeing that many stars was incredible. Wish I had brought our telescope.
*Affordable
*Convenient
*Easy commute to CASV
*The area is so scenic
*The owners were easy to communicate with
* Keep in mind it is a farm. Farms have flies and bugs. We are ok with it. We visit a farm in PA often and it reminded me of staying there. So it was nostalgic for us.
* It is a basement apartment. There is a steep small flight of stairs. Definitely not handicap accessible. This is clearly stated in the description, but, I am just emphasizing it. A person with mobility issues would have a hard time.
* Being that it is a basement apartment, it does have a musty smell to it. It isn't bad. We did get used to it. We kept the fans on. If you have an air purifier, you might want to bring it.
Overall, it was a great place to stay. We had a great time in CASV, and the Bull Pen definitely added to making it a great time.
Everything was wonderful! The place is a good respite from the center of town, yet easily accessible. My son, who now plays college baseball and had not been to Cooperstown since his 12 year old Little League team played there was excited to visit and re-live the magic of Cooperstown and experience Induction of his favorite player. The accommodations were quiet, comfortable and as pictured and described.. Our host was responsive when we had questions. We are already looking forward to another visit!
