This was a last minute booking for us as a wee family treat. The hosts were there on arrival and kindly gave us lots of great tips for exploring the surrounding areas.
There is paddleboarding and axe throwing adjacent to the site and Montrose and Brechin are a short drive away. Treat yourself to a lovely riverside woodland walk (blue door walk) in the pretty village of Edzell which is also a short car journey away.
The host also advised us to try the Anchor pub in Johnshaven village for food and it did not disappoint.
The property was great. A living room, kitchen/dining area, a shower, a room with 2 single beds and a master double en suite. The property also has a hot tub which came in very handy after all of our exploring.
A great weekend stay, friendly hosts, a beautiful area for exploring and a hot tub for relaxing. What else would you need?!
