"This apartment was ideal for me to explore Rodrigo from. It was modern and beautiful, all appliances were new, the living space was comfortable and the host added little touches that makes all the difference to a traveler-- coffee, milk and water, along with some pastries were available for breakfast fare, soaps, first-aid and essential kitchen items were plentiful and I did not have to make special shopping trips to enjoy the basics of my stay. "This is a nice hotel, very conveniently located to access the centre of the town. Staff were friendly and the single room was small but perfectly adequate although the bathroom felt a little cramped. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it was disappointing that the cafe was closed after having had a difficult journey. Nevertheless overall it was a good experience and excellent value for money."

"Zamora Palacio del Duero is a large hotel situated near the river and convenient for the Old Town. The hotel has its own underground car park which is small and pretty tight, and I had to do quite a lot of manoeuvring to get my Audi Q5 in and out. Main public car parks weren’t obvious and, on a Sunday afternoon, every street and small parking area in the vicinity of the hotel was full. No doubt on other days parking might be easier. Check in was welcoming and our Premium room is spacious, very nicely furnished and comfortable. It also comes with a large and luxurious en-suite bathroom and a nice terrace. In short, it’s the sort of room that makes you wish you were here for more than one day. Breakfast here is top class with an excellent buffet selection of fresh fruits, cold meats and cheeses, tapas and innovative dips and spreads. And although the buffet includes scrambled eggs and bacon, you can also order freshly cooked eggs, bacon and sausage. Service throughout has also been excellent and this is a top class hotel in all respects."

"In its design, this is certainly a concept hotel, which makes it both appealing and rather different. Wayfinding about the hotel was strange and difficult, though our suite was spacious and the staff extremely friendly. And we had a delicious meal in the restaurant--the best food we'd had to date in Portugal! The only small areas for improvement had to do with servicing of the room: although there was a coffee maker in the room, there was no coffee available to use in it (even on the second day, after we'd asked for pods the previous day and clearly used them!) and the room cleaning on the our second day left us with only one bath towel for two. Small errors but ones to be fixed."

" A quietly brilliant stay. The welcome was warm without the fuss, the beds were the sink-into-oblivion kind, and the shower actually understood the assignment. Breakfast — light, thoughtful, and included in the room rate — felt like a small act of generosity rather than an upsell. I even left with a pot of local bee pollen from the lounge, because restraint is overrated. Parking was easy, the internet behaved itself, and there’s a supermarket a couple of minutes away for any last-minute cravings. Calm, considered, and doing exactly what it should — beautifully. "
