"Review for Cashen Course House – September 2025
We had a lovely stay at Cashen Course House in Ballybunion. The location is perfect — quiet but still close to the town and golf course. The room was spotless, and everything was well maintained, which made for a really comfortable stay. Having on-site parking was a big plus, especially after driving around the countryside.
The hosts were friendly and welcoming, which added a personal touch to the experience. I’d definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area. Would happily stay again!"
Thatched Cottage with Hot Tub walking distance to Hughe's Pub.
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time at Cottage Mary Rose. The area was beautiful, Hughes’s bar was awesome! Caretaker Timmy went above and beyond. Caroline answered all our questions. Highly recommend!!"
"Just such an amazing experience, such beautiful rooms, exquisite dining…. Lovely friendly staff. I have never been tempted in my life to rob a bath robe - I resisted!!! The comfiest, soft bathrobes are in the room. I’ll be back. I’d be there tonight but the hotel was booked out fully. Can’t wait to return "
"Extremely friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are very convenient. The rooms are a nice size, quiet and with all the necessary amenities. "
Originally founded in 1893, it would be hard to find a golf club that can match Ballybunion for its stunning location and uniqueness. Ballybunion offers visitors breathtaking views of the wild, undisturbed Irish coastline, and its two courses are beautifully contoured, winding between rolling, grassy dunes and the Atlantic Ocean.
