"My wife and I recently stayed here (April 28, 2026). The check-in process was quick and easy and the young lady checking me in was helpful and professional. The restaurant and 24-hour bar area near the check-in was filled with construction workers as was their vehicles (I have nothing against construction workers, I am just describing my experience). The downstairs area seemed dark and dingy and in need of a facelift. Upon receiving our room key, we proceeded to the third floor and opened our room. The flooring was vinyl laminate and the room was small. The flooring was extremely sticky as if alcohol or soda had been spilled. The floors had not been mopped or cleaned prior to our arrival. The bathroom door had a strip of black mold running along the bottom and the bathroom floor and shower area all ran together. I opted to leave the window open to try and let fresh air in since the room smelled of mold and was musky. What a mistake that was. I forgot the bar downstairs was open 24-hours. Throughout the night, men were heard arguing, fighting, and vomiting loudly non-stop. Then around 4am, the men decided to see who could bark like a dog the loudest. It sounded like a dog pound outside. My wife asked me why were there dogs fighting outside at 4am and I explained to her it was humans, not dogs. I the United States, we have a hotel chain called motel 6. If you want a cheap room with no amenities and probably not the cleanest, you go to motel 6. This is worse than motel 6."

"Quick, easy check in. Ample parking. Our room had a walk in shower as requested but the room had a very musty stale smell you noticed as soon as you entered but it was clean. I found the bed too hard. Breakfast was ok, you have to leave the hotel and go across to the services."

"There were no disabled parking spots, only reserved ones for electric cars. I booked an executive room (112), and was surprised to note one of the windows looked onto the bin area and recycling, that has lights on most of the night and early morning noise. My bath had mould around the seals, and the bath plug had to be removed with a spoon, which dislodged more mould that floated in the bath. When I mentioned about changing my room before unpacking due to the view, there were no others available, and I mentioned the other comments at check out and nothing was said, just about the meal extras I had ordered and how I wanted to pay. For a 4 star I was disappointed"

"We just had an overnight stay at The Cumbria Park Hotel, it was very pleasant. Very welcoming reception area. Booked in straight away, we were a little early but the room was ready. The room was well presented, which looked as though it had been recently redecorated. We had our evening meal in the restaurant, which had a nice atmosphere, the staff were very attentive and the food was very good. Spoilt for choice at breakfast from fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese, pastries or a full Cumbrian breakfast. Again beautifully presented, clean and fresh. A lot of time and money has been spent, an excellent hotel, all the staff were helpful, plenty of parking. We would definitely stay there again."

"Very poor. The list could be endless. One TV Channel even after phoning to get the TV fixed. No phone so had to use my own phone to call reception. No WiFi No fridge. No robes. One biscuit packet. No safe. Very tired. A poor experience. This hotel lives on its attraction to the golf course not patrons who might expect a good hotel. Dreadful."
