"This house has an excellent location in Montsoreau and has very nice views of the Loire river from the upper floors. It's perfect for exploring the area West of Tours around Saumur and is easily accessible to Angers as well as chateaus such as Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau. We didn't have our bicycles and wish we had but the local walking through vineyards is still phenomenal. "The mill is very nice and special, unfortunately the weather was not so good and therefore we had cold in the house. Only one of five electric heater worked in the sleeping room. In the leaving-room you can only heat by makeing a fire in the fireplace and it takes nearly two hours until is getting slightly warmer in this big room. Unfortunately we could not use the extraordinary terrace because of weather terms. I guess summer times it would be a great place to stay. I booked this big hours...

"Small but perfectly formed. Only lack of its own outside space, access to a terrace so we could eat outside, was our only frustration. Marc on behalf of his mum was excellent. Because of its aspect the house was very hot in the over 30C weather. We appreciated the ready access to buses and of course the Riverside"

"We had an amazing visit to the heart of the Loire Valley. This is a beautifully renovated old building in the quaint old village of Larcay. A 2 minute walk to the river or an amazing little restaurant called Les Planchettes. Easy access to Tours and the many castles and vineyards in the area. It feels like travelling back in time but with all of the modern amenities. Thanks to Sylvain and Adele for everything, including the welcome bottle of delicious Vouvray! Highly recommended."

"We had an excellent stay at Ballan-Miré. The house is really nice and well furnished, including towels and tea towels, BBQ, outside seating etc. The beds were done on arrival which is really appreciated. The house was clean and a good size, with two large bathrooms. The garden is big and really nice and sunny. WiFi is working well. There is a large supermarket 5 min drive away. No shops at walking distance. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and discreet. Overall a very positive experience! "

"More than most properties - Gille’s sprawling 16th, 17th and other centuries place will mould to your wishes. No heated pool for us and the games room remained quiet. But a wonderful maze with parking for only the Le Mans champs ( like myself). Everything is close and walkable."

"The property is located in rural setting, lots of farming around the area. The location suited ourselves as we found it didn't prevent us from exploring nearby attractions. Saumur and Chinon and the Loire river were all within easy reach. "We recently visited the Loire Valley with our family of four adults. This loft was well equipped and modern. Washer/dryer and drying rack appreciated. There was some construction on the street in front of the building, but we were able to access the unit from the back lane. If you have mobility issues, the stairs would be a challenge but they were not a concern for us. Quick response from owner with any questions. Overall an excellent place and we would stay here again."

"Awful. It felt like a homeless person place. No AC, No Hairdryer, Shower head has to be held to be used, Dirty floors with circular burns in carpet, no toiletries or towels, no AC in fitness center, very sketchy area, dirty refrigerator, no coffee, very late checkin and very early checkout. Worst place I have EVER stayed. "

"The hotel is comfortable but located in a sketchy area. It’s convenient for three reasons, available parking for a fee, a shopping mall across the street with a small supermarket and a tram that takes you to the city center across the street on the main avenue. "
