The furnishings are basic but adequate. While the area has limited dining options, it was very convenient to have a restaurant on site. I would stay here again. The staff was great and the rooms were very clean. I would stay here again.

Fantastic rooms with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Very comfortable and even top class linens. Lovely garden to sit in, great food and nothing is too much for the friendly owner and staff. They also provided me with an excellent guide by the name of Endaye.

We traveled during the off season but were warmly welcomed. Our stay was comfortable and the breakfast delicious!

Boutique hotel with personality

Had an exceptional stay at this hotel, helpful workers, delicious food (best food I've tasted in Ethiopia) ,and very modern and comfortable room. The wifi is a little weak at certain times of the day so be prepared, I would definately recommended this boutique hotel

The room had an excellent view. The food was some of the best we had during our stay. Very reasonable price for the room. A driver picked us up from the airport and made all arrangements for us to visit the churches.

Clean and fairly modern hotel, and great staff (very helpful and nice). The restaurant serves decent food. The menu has the standard Ethiopian hotel dishes. The location is a little bit outside the center. My only complaint is that there are no mosquito nets on the windows and balcony doors. The room was full of mosquitos at night!

A good escape from the tough road in to Lalibela. Well laid out with plenty of lobby area and seating, attentive and helpful staff, a large menu to choose from with very good soups and decent wifi.

Mitte Dezember 2018 waren nicht alle Zimmer belegt und so konnten wir uns das beste und größte der noch freien Zimmer aussuchen mit einem fantastischen Ausblick vom Balkon und vom Zimmer aus durch die breite Glasfront, einem Kingsize Bett und einem Einzelbett sowie sehr schönem Bad. Der Zuschnitt der Zimmer ist sehr unterschiedlich. Das Harbe Hotel hat aber auch kleinere Zimmer sowie auf jeder Etage zwei Zimmer ohne Ausblick, d.h es gibt nur ein Fenster zum Gang bzw. ein kleines Fenster, über das man wenigstens frische Luft rein lassen kann.Wenn man bei ausgebuchtem Hotel so ein Zimmer nehmen muss, dann hat man wenigstens noch die große Dachterrrasse mit unglaublichem 360 Grad Blick auf die bergige Landschaft von Lalibela. Das Frühstück gibt es leider nicht als Buffet sondern als Continental Breakfast - etwas mager, aber wenn Toast und Marmelade nicht ausreicht, gibt es einen Nachschlag. Shuttle vom / zum Flughafen kostet wie bei allen anderen Hotels 100 Birr pro Person, was bei der der Entfernung von ca. 25 km auf teils Holperpiste angemessen ist. Bis zu den Felsnkirchen kann man je nach Kondition in etwa 20 -30 Minuten laufen (geht teils steil bergauf) oder fährt für 50 Birr mit dem Bajaj.

A hotel with no internet in the rooms.

The only good thing of that hotel is Moges, the man in the reception. Very helpfull. thank you for your advices and helping me to book another hotel by phone. But I would never go back to that hotel. No internet in the rooms -though they say they have. No shuttle bus to the airport. And all the inconveniences you can imagine.

Helpful staff, comfortable and great views!

I found the location of this hotel to be excellent. The views over the mountains was great from my balcony. I found the staff to be very eager to help and they set me up with an excellent guide!
