"Very busy place. Needs some updating. Hallways were dark and poorly ventilated but rooms were nicely done.Tried checking in at 4:30pm but there wasn't a room ready. There is a $35 property fee plus a $50 pet fee which made it $358 for a no frills room that didn't even include breakfast. "

"I love the location of this hotel, right next to the Lift bridge! We had a king bed facing lake superior! Loved watching the horse drawn carriages, and the sailboats, and we could see the lighthouse. It was just such a great location and beautiful view.! You could walk to any restaurant down in Canal Park! Parking lot was nice! Breakfast was great at this hotel and they had coffee and water on at all times!!!"

"Oliver has a wonderful place. Quiet quaint lake home. Only drawback for us was no washer or dryer. But Oliver told us of laundromat locally. Oliver was a great host to us. Much appreciated listing, place and him. Highly recommend"

"Townhouse was exactly as advertised; the views even better! The property was well stocked. The sauna was an unexpected bonus we all used often. The location was just what we wanted allowing easy access to Duluth but also far enough up the North shore to allow for easy day trips north. Two Harbors is a nice smaller town too!The owners Pat and Wayne are the nicest and most communicative we’ve ever experienced. We’d stay here again and highly recommend the property!"

"This property is WONDERFUL. Gorgeous house, beautiful view, and very communicative hosts. My friend group and I booked this place to have an artist's weekend (we brought our art/craft supplies up and made art for a few days) and we have absolutely fallen in love with the South Shore now. The area has a lot of natural beauty if that's something you're looking to explore, and the house has such a gorgeous yard and shoreline that it's also super pleasant to just hang out there most of the time. The host uses clean detergents for the laundry which was so wonderful because I and one of my friends are sensitive to scented detergent, so that was a very welcome surprise!The only (very minor) hangup we had was that the private beach that was advertised ended up being very small and a little bit difficult to get to. We wound up going to a beach 15 minutes away so it was totally fine but if you're looking for a property specifically for the beach this might not be the one. It's still wonderful to sit on the rocks and stare at the water though!Overall, we had an extremely relaxing time here and would 100% book it again in the future."

"Wonderful little cottage. Loved that it was right on the lake. We watched from the deck as ships headed in/out from the canal. Property was very clean and well stocked. Host was easy to work with & responded to questions promptly. We plan to book again in the future!"
