25th Anniversary getaway
We loved every minute and didn’t want to leave! It was such a peaceful, beautiful and perfectly secluded hotel. We enjoyed the lake on our Ms. Lucy cruise, and had an amazing picnic breakfast outside our room on the lawn. We also spent an evening stargazing. Everything was wonderful!

An outstanding, clean & stunning property. Same level of care as the Belmond in Charleston. A bevy of activities and amenities. World-class, dining, and all around A property. And the view is breathtaking.

The Lake Toxaway area is exceptional. Beautiful setting and the Lake Toxaway Country Club is fabulous. The Country Club dining and grounds are magnificent. The Inn was adequate and in a great location.

My sister and I spend three amazing day in The Greystone Inn celebrating her birthday. From a very first second on a property we felt welcome. Front desk associate Ms. Melanie create atmosphere of home and meet us with champagne. Boat Captain and Housemen Mr. Coleman impressed us with his knowledge of The Greystone Inn history and his hard working skills and warm attention to our needs. Mixology expert Ms.Helen and her energy made us felt good taking care off. Our bed was comfortable, bathroom floor was warm,and housekeeping manager Ms.Christy went far and above with heart felt warms to make our stay a comfortable as can be. We are in awe of all beautiful people who let us enjoy this piece of paradise. Sweet memories. Thank you.

Our room was lovely but we had no hot water... we we unable to take a shower or a bath due to the temperature of the water. Even after letting the water run for 15 minutes it was still too chilly for bathing... very disappointing.

Fantastic location on beautiful lake with magnificent homes. Wonderful complimentary wooden boat cruise around the lake will leave a lasting impression. Hotel was historic and architecturally stunning.. Staff were accommodating for the most part. Suite booked was not as exceptional as the rest of the property. We had a Lakeside Suite with a view primarily of the plastic boats at the marina (would choose a different room next time). Room had refrigerator designed to to hold salable drinks but no space for a bottle of wine (but they did bring ice for bucket at 5:00 which was a nice touch). Main complaints with room: windows would not open to enjoy beautiful breeze, no micro to worm up leftovers from restaurant (which was excellent), no TV in living area, and very small love seat rather than sofa on which to recline. In general to positives far outweighed the few negatives.

We went here for our honeymoon and back for our 25th anniversary. Still beautiful after all these years. New owners have done a fabulous job of renovating. Some staff young and need some more hospitality experience, but overall, we loved it all over again!
