Fully furnished with linen, duvets and towels provided. Large deck with outdoor furniture and BBQ. Master bedroom has its own balcony that overlooks lake and boat ramp. Also on site for your use is a double garage. Pohutukawa Lake House-Lake Tarawera sleeps 7. Lake access is nearby with a selection of excellent beaches. Reserve opposite. Only 3 minutes by car to boat ramp.
WiFi, Netflix, a wide range of indoor games available along with up to date magazines, DVD collection and library. There is also a table tennis table, 2 mountain bikes, cricket set, rugby ball, soccer ball available for your use.
Enjoy lake edge walks, swimming, fly fishing or explore the lake. Ten minutes drive to the Landing Cafe and Buried Village. 15 minute drive to mountain bike carpark to access 150km+ of world famous Whakarewarewa mountain bike trails and the Forest Loop Great Ride. Twenty five minutes drive to central Rotorua. Base to enjoy other Rotorua attractions.

A beautiful and peaceful stay

This home is perfect and just as described. Clean, spacious, sunny, quiet, and perfectly sited amongst the trees. It has great lake views also. We would stay here again.

little piece of quiet and peacefulness

We had three lovely nights in the middle of winter, with the fire going and listening to the birdsong. amazing walks were close by, we could do as little as possible or as much as we wanted. our upstairs room with a view was my favourite chill spot.

Beautiful house

We loved staying in this beautiful house next to Lake Tarawera. It was the perfect place for a family getaway. We loved the wood fire and a fire guard was thoughtfully provided for our two year old. Lots of space and close to the lake for a walk and a paddle. Loved how close it was to the Blue Lake and the Redwoods where we enjoyed hiking and biking. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Comfortable home overlooking Lake Tarawera

Our family had a wonderful weekend in this lovely spot! The home was clean, comfortable, and well equipped and the location is spectacular. Watching the moonrise and sunrise over the lake was a highlight! Excellent communication with the hosts before and during our stay. Thank you for a great weekend.

Awesome property in nature

This property is outside of town. Super peaceful and a beautiful setting. It’s got a rainforest feel to it. The driveway is a bit steep, but you can park our car on the bottom and take the stairs. The place itself was very clean and well equipped. I would recommend this place to my friends and family

Fantastic home in a beautiful location

Such a beautifully presented and spectacularly located holiday home. We had a fantastic time and some much needed rest and relaxation. Communication was fantastic including excellent suggestions of things to do in the area. We were greatful for the extra duvets on the bed and fireplace, as the weather was colder than we are used to. Breath of freah air

Such a beautiful home, in an amazing location. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing 😌 House was super comfortable and cozy. Had the fire going in the evenings, just enjoyed the location and watching the sun go down in the evenings. Great owner to communicate with, thank you.

Lake House

A lovely spot with pretty view of the lake. It is a bit out of the way, but if you have a vehicle the peacefulness of the location is worth a longer drive. Well equipped with back up towels and kitchen supplies. Vast windows bring the outside in - pretty bird song and every morning we were visited by a small flock of very polite California Quail.

Stunning Location

We had a wonderful stay at Pohutukawa Lake House. We found the area by accident and had no idea that Lake Tarawera was such a beautiful location. The house overlooks the lake with stunning views from the deck. The house is very pleasant and well-appointed. It is quiet and private. We loved the busy bird-life and extensive gardens. There is plenty of room so it would be well-suited to couples or families.

We had a fantastic few days of mountain biking, Zip lining (highly recommended) and boating all thrown in with an All Blacks win over England. Great spot to relax, house was perfect and easy. The host Mike was easy to communicate with and very hospitable. Thanks

A real gem!

Had such a relaxing stay thanks so much! Such an awesome well equipped hoilday home with beautiful views & peaceful bush surrounds.
