"This *could* be a very nice property, with better maintenance and cleaning. Biggest drawbacks include poor-to-no AC on the second floor (so bedrooms were uncomfortably hot) and an overall dinginess. (They need to find a better cleaning service.) No window treatments on a number of east-facing bedroom windows means the sun comes blazing in very early. (We ended up buying some cheap curtains at Meijer and hanging them with Command hooks.) We never could get the main-floor TV to play the listed channels - and we're pretty tech-savvy. Communication was problematic; we reached out to the hosts about a week before we arrived but didn't hear anything for several days, and then the lock box code they gave us was wrong. (They resolved it quickly, but it was a little aggravating after driving for several hours.) The property looks great online, but in its current state it is very overpriced compared with comparable units close by."

"We had an amazing stay at the Torch Lake House! The home was nestled in the backyard trees which made the stay feel real cozy. The inside of the house had a wonderful clean, open, and light feel that was very inviting. Every detail was attended to that allowed for a wonderful experience. It was in close walking distance to the beautiful Torch lake. We even enjoyed using the two kayaks provided. And in the front yard, we grilled up some delicious fish we caught on Lake Michigan. There were plenty of boat rental companies around the lake too. Do try to make reservations ahead of time! Thank you for your wonderful accommodations you provided for our family!!"
