Fun cross country skiing!

The efficiency is well situated in town and right on the rail trail which is great for cross country skiing and biking. Very pleasant and easy and the hosts recs are also great.

I was traveling for work and needed a basic room. Village Hideaway was perfect. Very clean, well stocked with amenities. Mary and Ken are wonderful.

It never occurred to me to ask if a room has air conditioning and tv. Other than that it was a lovely stay. Very clean and organized. The Rail Trail is super for younger travelers. We are in our 70s and 80s

Anniversary getaway

This quaint ‘hideaway’ was the perfect spot for our tip. It was conveniently located and pleasant. The room was equipped with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The owners were very quick to respond, super welcoming and accommodating.

Hideaway in Saranac

This is a great place -- clean and well-maintained. Owners are very thorough and helpful. Renters should be aware that it's a bedroom in a building that serves as a permanent residence for others, although it's completely independent thereof, with its own entrance. It's like a B&B-type of arrangement. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was an excellent location for walking to restaurants. Very nice place.

Although only a room and a bath, the apartment/ efficiency was clean and provided all I needed. I was impressed with how Mary organized all the necessities in a small place. Mary's communication is top-notch. I will rent again.

Clean, convenient to town, Very minimal kitchen

Check in and communication were very good. Place was very clean and instructions were left on nice note cards for house particulars. Murphy bed was comfy and there were plenty of blankets. There is no TV and no table for eating or playing games. Microwave is on the floor. If you’re plan on eating your meals out, and bringing your own entertainment

Noise issues

The room was great, very clean, the hosts were kind and available. The problem was that the walls are paper thin, and the room is just off of their residence and kitchen. At 4 AM, one of the hosts was up and making breakfast, so we were woken up and couldn’t get back to sleep for a while. Then when we did get back to sleep, it happened again some time later. Unfortunately, this was very unpleasant and not having slept well affected our entire next day. So if you’re particularly sensitive to noise, just be aware.

Perfect experience

Perfect for our short weekend away, we were made to feel at ease and were very comfortable. Kevin gave us great tips on local attractions and was the perfect host. (Mary was away). Will definitely come back.
