"This property is a jewel. This is where they should have filmed "On Golden Pond." It is very private, yet only 20 minutes from I-95 and major supermarkets, etc. If you are looking for piece and quiet, security, a delightfully private pond and a stunning view of the opposite, natural, shoreline with no other cottages, this is your place! Beds are very comfortable with good quality linens and blankets. Kitchen is well equipped and the appliances are of very good quality. Plenty of wood is supplied for those cozy fires at night. The moment you pass through the security gate, you are greeted with a stunning view of the lakes and mountains beyond. My wife & I have rented many upscale properties all over the country and this is near the top in satisfaction. The property manager, Roger, even gave me a courtesy call a few days before arrival just to answer any last minute questions I might have. That was a nice touch. During my 2 weeks stay, he was always accessible if I needed him. We would definitely rent again! Len from NH"
"The staff upon check in was fantastic. They were courteous, polite, and friendly. The room was clean and as expected. The best part was the AMAZING water pressure and hot water. The continental breakfast was okay. I would have really liked plain water available not just juice and coffee but thw cinnamon waffles were a really cool treat. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at this property for 2 weeks. Everything we needed was available at the house: utensils, basic kitchen supplies, coffee maker, grill, toys, books, kayaks, beach chairs - you name it. Internet was sufficient for both me and my husband to work for 2 weeks, but sometimes video calls were a challenge (I think that’s a general issue in the Belgrade/Rome area - not house specific). There was plenty of room to spread out and several desks for work, plus comfy areas for relaxation indoors and outdoors. 5 minute walk to a private community beach at the pond where kids swam and built sand castles while my husband fished using one of the kayaks. Across the pond is Day’s Store, and we kayaked across for lemonade (about 20 minutes to paddle across). 10-15 minute walk or 2 minute drive to a local trail (Roundtop). Mala the host was extremely responsive and helpful with all our questions. It takes a day to get used to not flushing TP (due to a sensitive septic system), but after the first day we got into a habit and didn’t even notice it. Anyone who thinks it’s an issue - trust me, it is not."

"Cottage was quaint but with everything one would need for a fun and relaxing week…watercraft, grill, dock for fishing or sitting, comfortable beds, and an air conditioner for the humid days and nights. A loon pair and chick, bald eagle, osprey, heron, and multiple hummingbirds were a treat! Will look to be back next summer!!"
