Enchanting 2 Bedroom Cottage, The Fox Den, 258 Acres, Farmville, VA
10/10 Excellent
"Property was as described. Very clean inside and out ( no pollen on outside furniture) and nicely decorated with a fox theme. Cottage well laid out with a good use of space. Well supplied with anything you may need. Good assortment of spices, teas and coffees. Even had ziplock bags and plastic food storage containers. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. Beds very comfortable. Even had puzzles, games, DVD"s and records. Great selection of dishes and pots and pans. Walking distance to High Bridge State Park. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for hosting us!"
"The breakfast menu was good. Nothing flashy. The coffee was ok but definitely could be better. The hotel is clean and the rooms nice. Like most hotels you can't really hear through the walls but you can through the doors. The hotel guests were loud in the hallways and slamming door until 3 am. This is a college town and we should have expected that. Surely no fault of the hotel but guests should try to be mindful in the hallways."
"A solid two-night stay. The room was well-maintained with a clean bathroom, cold AC, and decent beds. I loved being so close to a Sheetz and various restaurants. It got a little noisy at times due to some younger crowds, but the friendly staff and great location made up for it. Everything worked exactly as it should!"
"First of all, let me start by saying the hotel I booked was not the hotel I stayed in. I booked a stay in quality Inn hotel in Farmville. I called a weekend advance and told them that I had a small dog and I didn’t see where it said whether pets were allowed or not, and they said that was fine and I told him of mine and my girlfriends needs that we needed a first floor room due to health reasons I was told by the staff to just put it in the comments and it would be taken care of when we went to check in at 5 PM. We were informed there were no first floor rooms that one wasn’t safe for us like they said that would be the owner actually owned days and across the street which is a considerably less hotel moneywise and in accommodations I’m sure there was no break in the price the room the beds were completely uncomfortable no shower curtain to take a shower. There were people up till 3 o’clock in the morning roaming the property which made my girlfriend feel very unsafe all in all we had a terrible night and really something should be done about it"
"Lousy! (1) No internet. (2) No coffee in the room. (3) bathtub was disgusting,,, did not use for that reason. (4) "free breakfast" was pathetic - powdered egges on the weekend with sausage links but only hard boiled eggs ( which I do not eat) on weekdays. My friend was three doors down from me and told me he kllled three cockroaches in his room."
