The owners were very friendly, and the breakfast was very good. Room was pleasant. Our bed had a thick memory foam topper on an old mattress, which we found extremely uncomfortable. The scent from deodorizer/cleaner was overpowering.

Thank you for your review. Since purchasing the property, we have been slowly upgrading furniture and mattresses. There is no way to please everyone. Example we have a brand new mattresses in Room 6, and I have repeat guest who ask for us to put the memory topper back on. I have another repeat guest that ask us to take off the topper because they prefer a hard bed. We use Pine-Sol with water and simple green with water. Both of them are Covid safe, very environmentally friendly and safe for continual use for my cleaning staff. No other cleansers or deodorizers are used. Perhaps it is the pine sol sent that you do not like. A 3 is a very harsh rating for a clean and safe room and well prepared farm to table breakfast.

Grafton is Great!
Delighted from the moment we arrived. Effortless check-in, friendly welcome, AWESOME room. Overall cleanliness and appearance of the area was above expectation. Kim and Rich are excellent hosts and they make a delicious breakfast!

Looking for a peaceful place to go ? This is it ! Rich & Kimberly are very friendly, know the area very well & give good tips on what you would like to do. Breakfast was GREAT ! If you don't like to go up & down steps you need to talk to them so they can put you in a room without them. Our room was done very tastefully, extra clean,& had everything we needed.

We loved our stay at Grafton Lodge. The owners are so nice. Feel like we have known them for years. Property is great; quiet and relaxing! We stayed in the Cottage, which was fantastic! Felt like home. Had everything anyone could need and was very comfortable!

Mountain Bliss
I really enjoyed my stay at Grafton Lodge. Kimberly allowed me to check in early so I could go see the sites. They saw to all of the details in the room and outside areas. Rich made a fabulous breakfast for me after assessing my likes/dislikes and any food allergies. I will definitely return and let my friends know about this gem.

Our weekend
Our stay here was more than we expected. The room was beautifully decorated and so clean. The breakfasts provided were so tasty best food we had while vacationing. I would highly recommend this beautiful bed and breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grafton Lodge. The owners, Kim and Rich made us feel like guests in their home rather than lodgers. We didn't have an itinerary for the weekend, but they were happy to recommend restaurants and things to do. The breakfast was second to none! I definitely recommend the Grafton for those looking for a quaint option within walking distance to Lake Lure.

Amazing Bed & Breakfast
This was a beautiful bed and breakfast that was perfectly located for our needs. Far enough away from the main sprawl of Chimney rock to not be busy, but close enough that is was less than a 5 minute car ride with stunning views. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful, outgoing, and all around good folks. I highly recommend you book with them. Check them out on facebook for more information!

Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is delicious. Location is excellent nearby downtown Lake Lure and a short drive further to Chimney Rock. Always enjoy staying here and visiting with the owner/operators.

Owners were great, very friendly and courteous. Even though they were pet friendly rooms we did not see any signs of previous pets in the room. Very clean and comfortable. Spacious bathroom with nice shower. Breakfast was great each morning.

The proprietors are so welcoming and full of great information about everything local. The rooms are spotless and well equipped. We loved the extra little touches like make-up remover cloths. The breakfast room is available thruout the day for coffee, tea and water/ice. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, cooked by Rich from local ingredients. We'll definitey be back!
