About this property

Charming beach house on Lake Leelanau. Includes kayaks and a fireplace.

  • Must book weekly in the summer months of July and August

    Enjoy spending some time at this charming two-bedroom cottage on Lake Leelanau. This cozy lake house offers comfortable lodging for up to 4 guests. The living room has plenty of seating overlooking the pretty lake views. There is wall-unit air conditioning and a wood-burning fireplace.

    No more than 4 guests are allowed; however, there is a bunk house with one twin bed and twin bunk beds if guests want to spread out. The bunkhouse does not have a kitchen or bathroom.

    Enjoy the spacious, great outdoors. Walk out the door to a deck with comfortable outdoor seating and enjoy beautiful sunsets and fall color views. The huge yard is perfect for outdoor games. 100' of shoreline includes a dock and boat hoist, which has a 3000 lb. limit. Three kayaks are included, too! Fire pit. Gas grill.

    Located minutes from the village of Lake Leelanau. Here, you can pick up groceries and visit wineries, a distillery, antique shops, and restaurants. There is a boat launch just a couple of miles from the house. Suttons Bay and Leland are about 10 minutes away.

    Your well-mannered pet is welcome. One dog only, please.

Absolutely beautiful!! This place had charm and character. It was spotless. We enjoyed our time by the fire and outside in the sun. Very spacious lot. Comfortable beds and our pups loved it.

Leelanau Blue is charming as described, the view of the lake and sunsets were beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing week.The only complaint we had was the dog and cat hair that was on the pillows and floors.

Great place!

We loved staying at this little cottage. They did a great job on the remodel. Cute and cozy. Great view. All the furniture was very comfy. I would recommend bringing water shoes lake bottom more of a sand/clay mixture. Firepit was very nice. We had a great time.

We vacation in October and are treated to a colorful display that gets better every day. Additionally, the location is perfect for the things we like to do, restaurants where we eat, groceries, wineries, etc. And for days when we just want to relax, knit, read cook and eat in, the cottage is perfect for that.

The house was perfect for a group our size, and the location is convenient to everything up north. We swam, boated, read on the deck, watched the Olympics. The house had everything we needed -- dishes, kayaks, comfy seating indoors and out, fire pit, big yard -- except I didn't notice in the listing that there's no washer/dryer; wasn't an issue once we went shopping, but something to keep in mind when you pack.

The cottage has everything we need for a comfortable, pleasing vacation. We come the first week in October and this year the weather was cold and rainy several days, but we stayed in the cottage and read, knitted and played games, all while enjoying the wonderful view. Writing this review reminds me that I need to book it for next year.

Great view of sunset. Very nice cottage, welll equipped and comfortable beds Well located for visiting the western side of Grand Traverse Bay We should have checked when leaves had max color change. We wanted to have fireplace blazing and settle down with good book. Weather was comfortably warm and a fire was not needed. Quiet neighborhood. Everywhere we stayed on the trip had lowest grade TP ever created. WHY. charge $3/dat more

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The interior of the Leelanau Blue cottage is modern & updated & was very clean. Two bedrooms, one is comfortable the other is tight on space. There is A/C but many of the windows lack screening so opening at night is not an option. The location is unbeatable, close to Suttons Bay and Leland. Ample outdoor furniture exists & is in good condition. There are 5 large tree stumps in the yard which pose a danger issue for kids playing & the dock was broken down at the seawall but passable. There is no ladder to get in/out of the water which made egress very difficult. The dock also had a lot of duck & seagull feces down near the end by the boat hoists.

It doesn’t look like much from the road, but inside is a designer’s dream. They have updated this small cottage beautifully, with tasteful furniture and décor, quality bedding and linens, drinkable tap water, good wifi and cable system, and everything you’d need to make your stay enjoyable. The air-conditioning unit was larger than expected, and with the heat wave that came through, it was very much appreciated. Ironically, we had to turn the furnace on a couple of days later. The deck had a comfortable, cushioned sectional which was fun to sit on and look out at the beautiful water, plenty of other nice deck chairs and a table/umbrella and chairs. The yard was plenty big to walk our dog around, quiet neighbors and neighborhood. My only wish list item would be a ladder to make going in and out of the water easier. This cottage was perfect for us and we can’t wait to come back.

The lake is gorgeous can see right into the water. We used the kayaks - water was very placid and peaceful. Quiet relaxing and great house. I cried when we had to leave. Visited nearby Suttons Bay and Fishtown (Leland) Absolutely loved it. Want to go again!!!!!

The lake view is awesome. Our weather was unseasonably warm. Was able to swim in October. The place is great. Clean and updated. Bathroom even has a heated floor. Next time I would bring my boat. Property manager called to make sure everything is ok too.

Absolutely Beautiful!

This Beautiful Beach House was perfect.Amazing sunsets, lake view, quiet , and so peaceful. My daughter and I had an incredible time. Lake house is small but adorable! And close to shopping area. Definitely worth it and we will be back!
