Beautiful cottage on scenic Adirondack hobby farm
Charming Adirondack cabin perfect for romantic or family getaway! Gorgeous mountain views, private and cozy. Located on family compound of glamping tents and unique cabins. Wildflower meadows to wander, firepit for star gazing and just down the road from beautiful 13th Lake. Enjoy a hot tub experience in our Japanese temple-like spa or a relaxing cedar sauna! Close to rail biking, whitewater rafting and the town of North Creek.
This adorable cabin offers beautiful mountains views, privacy and a unique space. Summers are wonderful with cool mountain breezes, swimming in the nearby 13th Lake, whitewater rafting in the Hudson River at the bottom of our hill and wildflower meadows to wander in. Fall is glorious with all the trees turning color.
LAYOUT: The living room is charming with antique beam ceiling, leaded glass windows and whimsical décor. The full kitchen offers everything you need to cook and dine in style with a bank of windows soaking in the south facing views of Gore Mountain. There is a nice bathroom with shower, a queen bed in the loft and a single bed in an alcove off the living room. Outside are tables by the firepit where you will find dry firewood and kindling, a grill and a wildflower meadow.
AMENITIES: Enjoy a hot tub experience! Built within a beautiful Japanese temple-like structure on one of the most beautiful spots of our land, our all natural no-chemical hot tub is a delightful way to start your morning, relax after hiking or winding down after dinner. Available for a private experience for $25 for an hour of wonderful relaxation. Let us know if you would like to book.
Also available for private experience is our new Cedar Sauna located a quick walk from the cabin. This sweet little building offers a dressing room and lovely new cedar sauna. $30 for one full hour.
We have happy lab dogs Sammy and BElla who enjoys spending time with our guests. We have free ranging chickens and sweet waddling ducks.
Most nights in the summer, we offer wood fired pizza. Here’s how it works. We make and provide the dough, and guests bring their own toppings. We fire up the wood-fired pizza in the late afternoon. By the time the wood fire has died down, the oven is about 800 degrees. From six-thirty to seven, guests come to the pizza pavilion with their toppings and we help them cook their pizzas. Because the oven is so hot, the pizzas cook in about three minutes. Lots of fun!
We are nearby the popular Revolution Rail for rail biking, and there are numerous whitewater rafting companies right at the bottom of our hill. We are an easy scenic drive up 87 from NYC. We’re five miles from the charming little town of North Creek, a half hour from Lake George and an hour and a half northwest of Albany.
Surrounded by meadows and gardens, located on family compound of historic cottages and four glamping tents, this beautiful property offers privacy, comfort and 40 acres of gorgeous land with walking trails.
If this cabin is booked, take a look at our cabins and glamping tents, all are listed on this site.: Glamp Richard, Glamp Suzanne, Glamp Thomas, Glamp Bernice, Bird Camp, Camp Twosome, Camp Hudsonview, Camp Bossie, Camp Lillian and Camp Finale.
In nearby North Creek, we have two cabins on the Hudson River (Camp Riverwood on the Hudson and Riverfront Cottage) and a gorgeous ten room Victorian a few miles away (Adirondack Victorian).

We had a great time. All the local attractions were excellent, and the management couldn't have been nicer. It was fun to watch the dogs, and we loved having them visit us. The other renters were great, too. I'm already looking forward to going back!
The host at thos property is great. If you have a well behaved dog she has friendly doggies too. In summertime there is wood fired pizza - weather permitting - bring your own toppings.
Enjoy the nature and activities in the surrounding region.
Amazing property and experience! Peaceful, beautiful, and easy access to hiking. North Creek had a grocery store and cute shops. The Hobby Farm cabins (I stayed in two different ones.) were both lovely and had everything I needed. I'll be back soon!
This was one of the best places we have stayed. So welcoming and peaceful. They have a garden with vegetables as well as a “Workshop” with homemade soaps and essential oils. The free-range doggies quickly became part of our family, and besties with our 4-legged family member!! No TV in the cabin, which I loved! (Although the collection of VHS’s they had were probably the best made movies ever, and if we had a rainy day, may have located one!)
Small but cozy building from early 20th century with add on living room and bathroom. Some of the instructions didn't match the reality ( lights on ,no wifi pw needed) . No tv,wifi was spotty.propane ,electric and space heating provided and heavy comforters.15 minutes from gore mt 25 to town with stores and restaurants. Need 4wd in winter due to gravel roads.Good value . Was warned about dog who woke us up barking outside wimdow at 10pm. Looks like it would be fun in warm weather with Hot tub and pizza café.
This place was great! We enjoyed walking the property and hot tubbing. The farmhouse was unique, but amazing! Leslie and team were friendly, we enjoyed chats over breakfast and pizza. Would definitely visit again.
We had a lovely overnight stay. Enjoyed the hot tub, the thoughtfully designed cabin, scenic views, and Thirteenth Lake. Leslie is a fun and thoughtful host.
A really wonderful place to stay! The farm is so beautiful and quiet. Our host was so nice and accommodating. The breakfast was great as was the pizza. We felt really at home.
This was the perfect place to stay in the mountains in the winter. Very cozy and close to Gore Mountain. This is our second time staying at this property.

Charming, rustic cottage in beautiful setting
This charming small cottage is set on an idyllic farm in the Adirondacks. Near great hiking trails and a pristine lake for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Loved everything about our stay.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Adorable style of cottages and out buildings on this pretty hobby farm above the Hudson River gorge. Rustic but comfortable and quiet. The Japanese style hot tub in it's private out building was a perfect remedy for a long day of hiking.
Had a great stay. The original booking had a loft and wasn't handicap accessible, so we switched to another cabin on the property. The new cabin had a couple steps up, and a small front porch. A rail would have been nice, but we made it work. It was charming, cozy, warm, clean, quiet, and private with a nice bathroom and hot shower. The kitchen was great, I cooked breakfast and a roast chicken and baked some apple turnovers. We had a nice campfire under the stars. We had a nice view and enjoyed the peaceful space. We had plenty of privacy, We had plenty of space for 3 adults, our large dog and his crate. The beds were comfortable, there were 3 beds and plenty of extra bedding. They provided nice towels, a hair dryer, a coffee maker and tea kettle. There were some games and books, cooking and cleaning products, the wifi worked well. The space was well thought out. I only wish there were 4 chairs instead of two. Even a couple of folding chairs or stools would have been nice. We used the hot tub spa. It's small for more than 2 people but it felt good. The stars were amazing. Highly recommend.
The location was everything I'd imagined and then some.
The cabin was perfect, although the bed was a tad small for our needs. The kitchen was clean and has all the utensils you'll need. Loved the retro style!
The farm itself provided an idyllic setting for relaxation, with the sounds of the trees rustling in the wind gently putting you to sleep as you lounge in the patio chairs thoughtfully provided by Leslie and her family.
Our kids had loads of fun playing with the ducks, hens and Sammy (who's a good boy?!)
There's delicious pizza in the evenings made fresh by Leslie in the wood-burning oven.
History and beauty combine to provide the guest an unforgettable experience at the Hobby Farm. Recommend.
Not clean, not a two bedroom, host was not accommodating or friendly. The ONE “free” amenity we wanted, the fireplace was not working and she wouldn’t come fix it. Their dogs were out all night and barked a lot and even hung out on our patio which made my dog bark a lot. Asked her to keep them near her property (which just so you know is only 40 yards from the cabin and feels very uncomfortable/not private) and she wouldn’t. Too expensive for what you’re getting. The only plus is the view and that it looks cute. Told my partner “this place is great if you’re not staying here”…left a more thorough review on google. But overall we will not be back.
I was impressed by both the view of the Adirondack mountains from the kitchen table to wake up to each morning and the amenities at the property. Not only did we enjoy the amazing Japanese hot tub, but the friendly guard made us feel so safe! She even brought us a stick when we were making a bonfire. I was also surprised there was a clothes washing unit in the cabin, a charcoal grill, a fire pit which we really enjoyed, an oven under the stovetop, and many basic spices and dishes. The wifi was very good and might even be nice for a work-from-home getaway. The town of North Creek was also very close for getting good gas and groceries. I’d suggest for future renters to take a lantern to do bonfires at night and to make sure the group is ok with the small cemetery close by, although it would be perfect as well for a Halloween adventure. Overall we really enjoyed spending our time together at this cabin and it felt like a tiny house! For 2 people who’ve never stayed in a cabin before, it was very comfortable, and having other cabins, guard dog Bella, and Leslie on the property made us feel safe. I’d definitely stay here again!
It’s evident the care that went into preserving this homestead. The pieces used in the farmstead cabin show the love of history. Sweet puppy Bella made us laugh, lovely Sammy reminded us of our old pup left at home.
Our only regret was not staying more than 1 night!
Our greeters were the 4 red hens who came and sat with us during our outdoor cocktails...
We used this place as our base of operations to explore the ADKs for 4 days. We enjoyed the location. The Farmstand was a neat, quaint, charming cabin. The weather was perfect. The nights were cool. We were visited by Sammy every morning and night. We also tried the Rev Rail, went to 13th lake, mined for garnet, climbed Whiteface Mt., took a steamboat cruise on Lake George, drove through the ADKs and stopped at random places to explore. The host was great and we loved our experience here. Also, HeyDays in North Creek - great place to grab a bite to eat.
My family of 4 had a wonderful stay in the Farmstand Cabin. This is a gorgeous area of the Adirondacks with tons to do nearby. Cabin had a VHS and lots of videos, a fun trip down memory lane. Pizzas were tasty and the owners were awesome and accommodating after the starter on our car broke and we needed to get a tow out on our last day. Really nice weekend getaway where things can slow down and become quiet. Stars at night were extraordinary.
