"Our stay was pleasant. However, I had the flu the last day and a half. I was unable to enjoy the Fall Festival. The breakfast was delicious."

"I normally don't do reviews unless they're exceptionally well or bad, and I was absolutely happy with my stay at Grandview Lake Placid. From the moment we arrived until the morning we left, our stay couldn't have been much better. We had an upper floor room with the mountain view and fireplace, with spectatuclar view of the high peaks in the distance and breathtaking sunset views. Our room was perfectly clean and well maintained by the staff throughout the week. The pool and hot tub were nice to relax in after a long hike. We would walk down from the hotel to the main street where all the restaurants and shops were, but just a warning that it's a bit of a walk with kind of a steep climb but well worth it. 10/10 would recommend staying here to friends and family who want to visit and experience Lake Placid and the Adirondacks."

"It's a historic propery- about 130 years old. But it's in very good shape. The place has character, but with nice attention to detail. The restaurant/bar is great. The fried cod and chicken meatloaf entrees were delicious, but I didn't like the string beans (undercooked). The room was cozy, clean and quiet (we had one facing the lake and not the street)."

"Great location right on the water, clean rooms, small breakfast provided which was nice. Only gripe - get a tp holder on a pole to move around in bathroom. The present location is not easy to get to the toilet paper. It’s sorta a reach in back of you thing. Has a restaurant attached which was good and the lone waiter was terrific."

"Trailhead was a great place to stay. The staff went above and beyond to help us enjoy our time there. They’ve done major renovations well and the beds and decor was nicely done. We had a nice fire outside and the breakfast bar was good. It was too cold for us but there was a very nice pool. There are some small things they do need to finish up though. The bathtub appeared to have new caulk over old black or moldy caulk. There was an outlet that was hanging off of the wall as well as the toilet paper holder. Overall though, a good place to stay."

"The rooms all have a screened in porch with a view of the lake and the sunset. The room was very clean and the kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The price is very reasonable for a room so close to the lake."

"Leslie and Emily are two amazing women. When we first showed up, we weren’t sure but they showed us around property and as we got to know them and the property as they are very hands on and they are great people. The water tube bed in the Richard Glamp was interesting to sleep on; I did great my husband not so much. Only writing this so you know. The fact that they made pizza for a nominal fee everyday was a great concept as there isn’t much around there to eat. They also do same thing for breakfast. This is definitely a place to unplug; we really enjoyed our stay."
