Gowdy Suite 2 is a modern 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Decorated with the help of legendary local photographer and artist Micheal Underwood. Enjoy the beauty of the San Juan Mountains during the day and then again in the evening with the amazing Underwood photography in this elegant comfortable Suite. Located within walking distance of town park, Lake City Brew Pub, several restaurants and activities, 0.6 miles.

The space

Bedroom 1 comfortable Queen bed and bedding. Bedroom 2 comfortable Queen bed and bedding. New fold down Full size modern sleeper couch. There are 2 full size bathrooms with roomy oversized showers. A full kitchen with full size fridge, microwave and stove. We Provide soap, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, Pots pans etc

This Suite 2 is located on the second floor of the building. Guest must climb a flight of stairs. It is against the side of a mountain creating the ultimate back porch privacy. Amazing mountain views abound.

Comfortable stay

We loved the property. The bed was comfortable, the place was very clean, the location was perfect. The aspen trees surrounding the deck made the atmosphere awesome. We highly recommend this location.

One of the best stays on our trip! Jim met us and showed us in and gave recommendations for dinner within walking distance! Property backs up to mountain, with wrap around deck! We were able to watch deer feed right below us at the fire pit area! We will be staying here again but next time multiple nights!! Highly recommend!!!

Nice and cozy

Great cozy stay. The property owners were friendly and communicative. Hot tub was perfect during a long weekend of ice climbing! Place looked just like the pictures.

Love all of their properties! We love staying because they are one of the few that are dog friendly. Hosts are so kind and very communicative. They know the town so they gave us great restaurant options that were dog friendly. Thank you for a great stay!

Great property and wonderful hosts! Lake City is a great, jumping off spot for all of the activities that this part of Colorado has to offer. The Gowdy’s are wonderful hosts , and easy to get a hold of if you have any issues. We will definitely stay here again!

Everything about this place was top notch. It was extremely clean, nicely decorated, the owners were very gracious and helpful with info. about the town restaurants and where we could drive our side by side in town and where trails were. The overall beauty of Lake City made this place a definite to come back to.

Hiking base

Lake city getaway

Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. Jim gave us a plethora of information of things to do. We explored the Alpine Loop, did some hiking and visited the old mines. Loved going up to Windy Point at night to see the stars. Enjoyed the hot tub and found everything we needed to cook. Especially liked the small touches in the condo like noise machines in the rooms. Would stay there again.

Perfect Lake City apartment

Great 2 bed 2 bath apartment in downtown Lake City. My wife, another couple and I spent two nights at this gem of a place in Lake City. We used the fire pit on the first night and the hot tub. The next day, we hiked Handies Peak and again used the hot tub. The kitchen had all the utensils needed and the place was perfect. Being my first time to Lake City, I would definitely rent this place again.

Star gazing in the area was amazing!

Very small apartment. Fairly well stocked. Comfortable accommodations. Had a great deck. Has a hot tub but we didn't use. Oven hadn't been cleaned in awhile and when we used it to toast garlic bread for dinner it set the smoke detectors off as it burned off whatever was in there. Was pretty small for four people but we enjoyed our stay. Jim was very nice and personable.

Early Summer 2024

We loved our stay here! Jim was a fantastic host and the place had everything we needed. Nice big windows, fun to watch deer in the back and front, and the stars were incredible! We loved sitting out on the deck amidst the aspen grove. The place was cozy and perfect for 2 couples, plus our dog. It was our first time to Lake City and the scenery here is gorgeous. Everyone in town was so friendly and welcoming. My husband accidentally left something behind, and when I texted Jim, he was right on it, found it and sent it to us the same day. :) We would definitely stay here again!
