Gowdy Suite 2 is a modern 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Decorated with the help of legendary local photographer and artist Micheal Underwood. Enjoy the beauty of the San Juan Mountains during the day and then again in the evening with the amazing Underwood photography in this elegant comfortable Suite. Located within walking distance of town park, Lake City Brew Pub, several restaurants and activities, 0.6 miles.

The space

Bedroom 1 comfortable Queen bed and bedding. Bedroom 2 comfortable Queen bed and bedding. New fold down Full size modern sleeper couch. There are 2 full size bathrooms with roomy oversized showers. A full kitchen with full size fridge, microwave and stove. We Provide soap, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, Pots pans etc

This Suite 2 is located on the second floor of the building. Guest must climb a flight of stairs. It is against the side of a mountain creating the ultimate back porch privacy. Amazing mountain views abound.

One of the best stays on our trip! Jim met us and showed us in and gave recommendations for dinner within walking distance! Property backs up to mountain, with wrap around deck! We were able to watch deer feed right below us at the fire pit area! We will be staying here again but next time multiple nights!! Highly recommend!!!

Great cozy stay. The property owners were friendly and communicative. Hot tub was perfect during a long weekend of ice climbing! Place looked just like the pictures.

Everything about this place was top notch. It was extremely clean, nicely decorated, the owners were very gracious and helpful with info. about the town restaurants and where we could drive our side by side in town and where trails were. The overall beauty of Lake City made this place a definite to come back to.

Great property and wonderful hosts! Lake City is a great, jumping off spot for all of the activities that this part of Colorado has to offer. The Gowdy’s are wonderful hosts , and easy to get a hold of if you have any issues. We will definitely stay here again!

Cozy and well stocked

Wonderful to have access to quality linens, multiple tvs, oven, microwave, and hot tub. My kids had a blast and had privacy from each other with 2 bathrooms.

Nestled in aspens at the edge of town

We came to Lake City to hike and to run a trail race.The location is peaceful and shady, and a short walk to the center of town. We loved having access to the outdoor hot tub.

Perfect Lake City stay!

The best little cozy place! SO clean and packed with all the necessities! Even coffee and creamer were stocked. Large amounts of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Lots of towels and very very comfortable bedding. Owner helped us out a lot with trails we could take our atv on!

Lake city getaway

Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. Jim gave us a plethora of information of things to do. We explored the Alpine Loop, did some hiking and visited the old mines. Loved going up to Windy Point at night to see the stars. Enjoyed the hot tub and found everything we needed to cook. Especially liked the small touches in the condo like noise machines in the rooms. Would stay there again.

From check in to check out Jim was extremely helpful. He sent us directions with pictures knowing how to get there as well as where to park. We were starting out on the BDR and needed a few things and he happpily helped us. The place was clean and comfortable. We hope to stay here again when we come back through Lake City. This place is perfect.

A friend and I had planned a las minute trip to Lake City. There were plenty of rustic motels In town that we’re available, but we really wanted more space than a motel room or two. This property was super clean, nicely updated and very well appointed for guests. We enjoyed having our own space (including 2 bathrooms). The outdoor seating on the deck and hot tub (super clean btw) we’re an added bonus. The proximity to restaurants is perfect as well - just a short walk. For a smaller group, you’d be hard pressed to find a better option for accommodations in Lake City.

Gowdy Properties is a must book for your vacation rental! The owners do everything right!

Beyond happy with everything about our vacation rental. We rented Suite 2 and our party of two couples had ample room with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. We cooked meals in the equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. Great night sleep with deluxe bedding! This suite had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a cold rainy day on the trails riding SXS. Our fur baby dog Bo was welcomed. Thank you Jim and Dana for great Hospitality!!

Star gazing in the area was amazing!

Very small apartment. Fairly well stocked. Comfortable accommodations. Had a great deck. Has a hot tub but we didn't use. Oven hadn't been cleaned in awhile and when we used it to toast garlic bread for dinner it set the smoke detectors off as it burned off whatever was in there. Was pretty small for four people but we enjoyed our stay. Jim was very nice and personable.

Loved Suite 2!

My family of 4 adults plus one dog loved our stay in Gowdy Suite 2! Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, full fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Having 2 full bathrooms was great for our group, plenty of towels, including extras for the hot tub. Beds were comfy, though the pull-out wasn't particularly. No dishwasher or laundry so washed by hand. Hot tub was much appreciated after climbing 14ers! Peaceful neighborhood beyond barking neighbor dogs. Hanging out on the deck was particularly nice. Jim was really great in communicating, very responsive. Would definitely love to stay again!
