Cool Waters Cabin - Ox Yoke #7 - Updated Cabin Along the Lake Fork of the Gunnison

2 Bedroom/1 Bathroom; Sleeps 4-6 - Great Cabin Close to Town.

This cabin sits along the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River about a mile from Historic downtown Lake City. It has a remodeled kitchen, living room, two bedrooms (one with a queen sized bed and one with two twin beds) as well as a full bathroom. It is just a short walk to historic downtown Lake City as well as a great miniature golf course. You can also fish just outside your door in the river in front of the cabins that make up the "Ox Yoke" resort. Sit out on the wonderful covered deck and enjoy watching the river go by and even the deer grazing in the grass that is between the cabin and the river. Come and enjoy this wonderful cabin.

Perfect Lake City Cabin

Perfect cabin for a family. Beautiful location on the stream. Great for trout fishing, relaxing, and having a home base for exploring the area.

Great cabin!

The cabin was exactly as described. There was not a grill when we arrived and after calling Tannah, we had one within 30 minutes. They were great to work with. We would go back again if/when we are back in Lake City again.

There was a spider and spider web living at the base of the bathtub so it hadn't been cleaned very well.

October 1, 2021 our stay

Being right on the river was lovely; views spectactular along with the fall colors of the Aspens. We enjoyed having a family of deer come each evening to graze in the grass so close to the cabins. Only complaint is the queen bed needs a new mattress.

nice inside cabin, outside of cabin fixture were terrible

The inside of the cabin was as described but on the outside fixtures were almost all broke cannot sit at picnic table because it was broke, Could not use the grill outside because the flame protectors were rusted through,Only had two chairs along porch that were very uncomfortable and we had three people in the cabin so only two could sit outside at a time

Came up short.

Overall a great location and a comfortable cabin. The problems were outside. The propane grill was unusable. The flame tenders and the grid were totally rusted out. Unsafe and unsanitary. The picnic table was falling apart and also unsafe and unusable. Both items need replaced. And I don't know why there is no screen door for the back porch. With no AC you need that cross breeze to stay cool.

Breathtaking views and on a river!

We could not have enjoyed our vacation more! Surrounded by mountains and woke up to the sounds of the river every morning. Great neighbors, dog friendly and a sky full of stars at night. We will return. Year after year.

Super Location on the river!

Enjoyed our two week stay at Ox Yoke. Location on the river was great. Mule deer came to visit us often. Osprey flew up and down the river one day.

vacation perfection

The cabin was cute and clean. The perfect size for the 3 of us plus a dog!! It sat right on the river and was within walking distance to town. Very quiet even though it sat right on the hiway. Communication with the company who took care of the renting was very easy and problem free.

Right on the River!

Nice upgraded cabin steps away from the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River. Caught some nice brown trout for breakfast! Comfortable location in the spectacular San Juan Mountains!

I loved my stay at the Cool Waters Cabin #7

I've been to other cabins in the Lake City area and was absolutely surprised of how wonderful my stay at the Cool Waters Cabin was. I loved being near the river and the cabin was very clean. In the past, the cabins I rented were missing pots/pans, towels, soap, grilling utensils, salt and pepper, extra blankets and pillows. In the past, there were cabins that I felt l needed to clean before I could stay there. My experiences at the Ox Yoke were a complete 180 of my past experiences and I will absolutely return. I LOVED THE CABIN AND THE RIVER. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY VACATION A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.
