Beautifully Remodeled Lake Front Home ~ Includes Kayaks!

Roy Lake is a beautiful lake with amazing fishing! Walk through the front door, and begin to experience lake living, with breathtaking views of the lake. This lovely updated home has an open floor plan, with a spacious, fully furnished kitchen. Enjoy your meals and conversations at the large dining room table, or on the expansive covered deck. Relax in the comfortable living room, or head out to the deck to enjoy the fire pit and watch a gorgeous sunset. You'll get a great night's sleep in the bedrooms, furnished with new beds, and high quality bedding. This is a family friendly home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a washer/dryer.

The home is on a paved road, and there are two boat docks within one mile, making access to the lake easy for your boating and fishing enjoyment. No boat? No problem! Enjoy fishing off our private dock, or launch a kayak for a paddle around this scenic lake. The area offers many other opportunities, as well. You can hike, bike, or swim at one of the two nearby sandy beaches. A playground and disc golf are also located in the nearby park. A beautiful lake front 9 hole golf course is just a few miles away. There are also fall and winter activities, including hunting , ice fishing and snowmobiling.

For those who want to experience fishing at its best, we have a local guide available. He grew up on Roy lake, and knows all the secret fishing spots in the area. For information on rates, and to schedule your half, or full day of fishing, contact us.

Great home to enjoy lake life ! Inside was very clean & had everything we needed. Covered porch was nice & large table was a good gathering spot for meals hanging out etc. We brought our boat so the dock was a big plus, but dock needed to be lower to be usable.

Beautiful house on beautiful lake

This was the first place we've been to that had all the water toys ready to go which was a great addition. Everyone had a fantastic time on the kayaks and paddleboat.

Lovely property

This house has everything you need in the kitchen. The dining room table is large and the living room furniture is comfy. The porch and deck are perfect for watching the gorgeous sunsets. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Lake Experience

Excellent accommodations with great cross breeze from the lake. So many kitchen extras and comfortable bedrooms. Saturday night was gorgeous lake like glass- yet Roy Lake is so big it never felt busy even though the cabins around us were bustling with activity. Felt so peaceful. Thoroughly impressed and will be back.

Fishing trip.

Was a great house on the shore of the lake, very modern. Hosts were great, and so was the neighbor across the street. One draw-back was the dock was so high out of the water it was difficult to get in the boats for old people.

Second visit just as good as first time

Love the location. We had a quiet weekend at the lake. Cabin was big enough for husband and baby. We appreciate the high chair, floaties, and extra toys for the littles. Water in lake was clear and warm, a little rocky but free of weeds! State park with 2 sides very close to property and have nice playground areas and 1 with sandy beach. Neighbors are very friendly, one stopped to say hi and offer any tools/assistance if needed;)

Beautiful views

The house was very clean. Beds were comfortable, I would suggest bringing your own pillow. Bathrooms had plenty of towels and a few extras (shampoo, bar soap) in case you forgot something. The kitchen was stocked with the exception of a meat thermometer. We did bring our own salt and pepper. On the water. There is not steps down to the water and the dock was already pulled so we could not access the water. There was a great walking area near the house. Contact with the host was very easy!

A peaceful, happy place to stay.

The hosts were great at responding to questions. Lots of room to park and easy check in. The house was spotless on the inside. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pans, coffee maker etc. The backyard/lake view is spectacular. We loved both the covered deck for eating meals outside as well as the patio with firepit for sitting near the lake and roasting marshmallows. We spent alot of time on the 3 kayaks and peddle boat provided. The kids were able to catch many blue gills and a few northerns right off the deck (which also has a nice bench for sitting). We also saw bass jumping in the distance. Neighbors were friendly and lake goers on boats/jet skis were respectful of younger kiddos swimming or kayaking in the water. The only inconvenience was spiders constantly buidling webs outside but this is an unavoidable fact of being in the Dakotas. The problem was easily remedied using the broom from the shed and periodically sweeping the railings. Our stay was very relaxing and peaceful. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Two 30th Anniversary Celebrations!

The place was as nice as the pictures led us to believe! My sister and her hubby were married in June of '91 and we were married in October of that same year. We had long planned to do something together to celebrate. It was a quiet celebration -- taking turns cooking (BIL is a chef!), taking a quick trip to show them the Coteau des Prairies Lodge a half-hour south (that my hubby helped build), playing cards, hanging out, sleeping in, trying to get our late mom's serger working -- oh, well. I had hoped we would come earlier in the fall but this was when it worked for us. Weather was beautiful and rain only set in as we left. The place was clean, well-stocked with cooking needs, comfy, beautiful -- loved being mesmerized by the water again!!! All four of us enjoyed it immensely! It would be very easy to come again if we did something similar in the future! Everything I saw was spic-and-span! Very well-kept property!
