"The beach location of this home is excellent, as the beach is clean, has a stream for young ones to play in, given that the waves can be big and difficult if you are not a strong swimmer. There is a beautiful waterfall to visit near the public parking lot, too. It was a 15 - 25 minute drive to most locations to explore the island or to have dinner each night. We would likely stay in Ribeira Grande next time we visit São Miguel, as this was more centrally located to our trip.The home was clean, but we struggled with the bug situation as there are no screens to prevent them from entering the home when windows and doors are open. We saw flies & ants, plus a cockroach run under the laundry machine on our last day, and spent time waiting to kill it so it wouldn't get into our belongings. We ended up keeping the small trash can on the porch and throwing the bag in the dumpster near the beach daily to reduce the ants. Our other issue was the amount of hot water. There is only enough for 1 shower, 2 only if you are VERY fast. This was a huge challenge for a family of 4 coming home from the beach. We all had many cold showers. Another challenge was that there were no fans to help with airflow other than small desk top fans that only help if you sit in front of them. Lastly, the furniture on the patio was not like in the picture. There were two broken plastic chairs and one lounge chair that did not have a cushion. No tables to put drinks on or have a snack. Improvements could be made"

"The property met all of the needs of our multi generational family. Great location easy to walk or drive anywhere we wanted to go to! I would highly recommend this location to anyone travelli ng to Sao Miguel. Easy place to get to from the airport and puts you right in the center of the island. Ribiera Grande is the bees knees!!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend! The street it is located on is a typical narrow Portugeuse street but behind a private gate is the beautiful villa on the host's property with lots of greenspace! The host is very attentive and kind. The villa was equipped with absolutely everything we needed and we appreciated the small touches like ample towels, toilet paper, fully equipped kitchen and AC. Obrigado! "
