Very run down

This hotel is very run down. The pool is closed and never opening back up but it doesn’t say that anywhere until you get there. Our walls were filthy, the carpet was all torn up. The bath tub and toilet were clean and the shower was hot. The beds were clean and comfortable enough to sleep but the blanket was super thin.

Very expensive foe what you get

Very friendly and helpful service when checking in or out. But condition of the hotel is pretty bad. Housekeeping friendly and did the best they could despite the condition of the room, furniture, etc

Found out there was no breakfast and pool closed upon arrival; very disappointing since advertised as having both. Phone didn’t work. Diabetic test strip with blood found on air condition unit and a couple bugs on floor. Employee came right away and cleaned. Had trouble with key getting into room and employee was praying and didn’t acknowledge for several minutes. He said that he was praying and I said that I’m sorry but I’m a customer and my elderly friend is standing in 100 degree heat. Would not recommend this property to stay

Well the pictures on all webpages show an upkept budget motel, but in fact it is extremely run down, unkept and nothing like the pictures. Only booked for the pool, arrive to a pool that apparently is closed for maintenance but honestly this pool has been neglected for sometime and I assume there is no intention to fix otherwise it would of happened when the pool is closed during those mentioned months not when it’s advertised as open. The rooms are a great size, but when opening the door you get hit in the face by this horrendous smell which I think may be the aircon. The rooms are in need of lots of love, worn out carpet, pillows that are oddly shaped n lumpy like a sack of potatoes. The shower/toilet door would not close in the latch therefore whilst going to the loo you had to put your foot to the left to stop it from opening. The towel rails were in poor condition. I was not confident with the breakfast upon asking so gave this a miss to save disappointment. The towels were so small that me being 160cm and 50kg I had to hold it together. All in all if the owners/managers etc were serious about this business/property they would fix the rooms up even if one by one, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make things nice n presentable. If I’m ever this way again I’d go a bit further on say Lafayette and try my luck there.

I stayed one night, then went somewhere else

It wasn't dirty to the point of walking in & saying nah I'm no staying here, but not much above that. We did see a couple dead roaches. I wouldn't stay there again.

This hotel needs MAJOR renovations. Rooms were awful. Cigarette burns in bedspreads. We reserved 2 rooms they both were bad! We didn’t stay had to find other lodging it was that bad. Owner did refund our money so that was a plus!

Pool that was advertised was not only close, it’s been so since Dec. Hotel room had multiple, over 15, damaged spots that were poorly fixed. There was no blanket or comforter, only a sheet and throw that had burn holes in it. The bedside light did not work & the toilet paper holder was just placed in a hole in the wall and not attached. You also had to dodge gas station traffic to get to the parking lot. The only bright spot was nice housekeeper who ask when we were leaving and if we needed anything. 0/10 don’t stay here, not worth the 100$ they charged.

Moldy and Broken

This place should be closed. It has apparently not recovered from the last hurricane. The carpet was sticky, the whole room smelled horribly of mold, and all the furniture and electrical fixtures were in poor repair. I should have known by the blue tarps on the roof, and the surprise on the desk clerks face when someone actually walked in.

I was lied to. Pool WAS NOT OPEN as told to me in a previous call. This was the MAIN reason we wanted to stay there to continue celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Carpet was disgusting, left our feet BLACK. DO NOT STAY THERE. Spend a little more for a much better stay ANYWHERE ELSE. (This is my only negative review of ALL the properties we have stayed in. We have traveled North, South, East and West)

Yeah, next time we'll continue down the road

We arrived late, the first set of keys didn't work and door knob was partially broken. Asked for a different room but was denied, after fiddling with the lock got it open. We asked for non smoking room since we have kids, room reeked of smoke, there were nail clippings on the floor, not all the light worked. Heater would shut off every 15 minutes. Bedding was very thin and due to the cold slept in our clothes. No internal chain on door, paper thin walls, looked unkept. But were tired from traveling all day.

They advertise breakfast but it is just juice and coffee. The sheets make you itchy and the bed is uncomfortable so we did not get sleep. The staff was rude during every encounter. All wall electric outlets are outdated, some wouldnt hold plugs or chargers. The carpet staples stabbed me in my foot.

The floors were dirty, somebody had spilt a drink on the night stand n wall n it was still sticky. The bathroom floors were just nasty. I took a rag and wiped it in the bathroom floor n it turned it black. The desk clerk was friendly n nice but the cleaning staff needs to be instructed on how to clean the rooms.
