Great place in Lafayette!

Our stay was truly wonderful. The attention to detail in the décor and amenities made us feel right at home. The outdoor space was a lovely area to relax and enjoy the surroundings. This property is a gem, and we would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit. To the hosts, thank you for making our vacation so memorable! We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a top-notch VRBO experience.

Plenty of space

The stay was nice. However, the communication between the property manager was not great. There was plenty of room for my family to spread out. There house is close to everything. I suggest you try the local Food Trucks they were only 3 minutes from the property. The beds felt good.

The Day

The outside of the property will give you a negative impression, but the inside of the house is so much better than the outside look. The TV’s were new but the remotes didn’t work well. Downstairs heat was not the best.

Nice house, A LOT of space (it was 10 of us) loved the yard BUT we had problems….the beds were falling apart in 2 of the bedrooms, the BUGS ( dead and alive) they were on the walls, floors, in windows sills. The toilet in the first bathroom leaked but when I noticed it I immediately called. The house has an “old smell” when you first open the doors but it goes away as your time in the house progresses. The floor’s definitely needed to be swept and mopped. The house is on a very busy street, a lot of traffic, you will hear and see tractor trailer trucks all day, train horns occasionally. The back is the only way in but be very careful cause the traffic going in or coming out from the back is HORRIBLE. Keep the string on the inside when you first get there, The back gate kept locking fromoutside

Disappointing representation and significant personal safety concerns

I am extremely disappointed with the property I booked, and I feel it’s important to publicly share my concerns. Upon arriving, I was immediately alarmed by the overall environment surrounding the rental. The neighborhood was unsafe, with numerous homeless individuals in the area and abandoned, run-down properties nearby. This was not the safe and relaxing environment I expected for my family. The property itself was also in poor condition. The windows of nearby buildings were boarded up, and many parts of the surrounding area appeared neglected and unsafe. Worse yet, the property had a damaged roof, partially covered by a tarp, which raised concerns about potential water damage or mold exposure. This experience was far from what was advertised. The condition of the rental and the safety of the neighborhood were severely misrepresented, and I am deeply disappointed to have found myself in a situation that compromised my family's well-being. Given these serious issues, I requested a full refund that the owner, nor Vrbo have currently granted. The property and its surroundings did not align with what was promised, and it is unacceptable to expect anyone to stay under these conditions. I hope my experience will prompt better transparency and accountability for future guests.
