- Unwind in the brand-new Caldera hot tub after a day on the slopes — Ski Big Bear is 5 minutes away. Our freshly renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bath lodge (2,279 sq ft) sits on a private wooded acre inside Masthope Mountain Community in the Poconos.
THE SPACE
Vaulted ceilings and an open-concept living area with a remote-controlled gas fireplace, full kitchen, dining for the whole group, and a cozy loft. Expansive front deck, screened-in sunroom, new back patio with the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and propane grill. Mini-split A/C keeps summer cool; three heating sources keep ski season warm. Washer and dryer in the basement. Driveway parking for 2 cars.
Recently completed upgrades (2026): new hot tub and patio, upgraded electrical, fresh interior paint, new deck door and windows.
THE COMMUNITY
Masthope is a gated four-season community: heated outdoor pool complex with waterslides, Lake Westcolang sandy beach and boating, horseback riding at the stables, tennis, basketball, mini golf, fitness center, hiking and ATV trails, and Ski Big Bear with 18 trails and 7 lifts. Community amenity badges are $10/person/day at the HOA office (note: badges are not available to renters around the July 4 holiday). All guests are registered with the community before arrival.
GETTING AROUND
5 minutes to the Ski Big Bear lifts, 7 to the lake beach, 15 to Hawley restaurants, and close to the Delaware River for rafting and kayaking.

Check-out instructions
The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Hot tub: lower the temperature back to 80°F and replace the cover.
Grill: clean the grates and close the propane valve. Fireplace and wall A/C units off (leave basement unit on in winter).
Place used linens and towels in the basement laundry room. Take all trash to the Masthope community compactor — none should be left at the house.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
