"St. Lucia is highly overrated. The views are nice but everything else is not worth it. Staff looks unhappy to be working there. This was a 3 star resort at best. There are locals on the beach that try to sale you things and we even witnessed a verbal altercation with a local and a guest from the hotel. The food is disgusting and has no flavor. The property smells like sewage at nighttime. Will never be back or recommend this place to anyone. I’ve been to several islands in the Caribbean and this was by far the worst experience. "
Royalton Saint Lucia, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
6/10 Okay
"The rooms were a little dated, but clean. Beds were comfortable and we enjoed the swim up room. We did have difficulty booking dinner reservations. You can't book a reservation without a room number, but don't receive the room number until check-in. By that time the only times available were after 9:00. The lunch/dinner buffet was not great food was often cold or dried out. The spirts bar food was also not great and they were out of the two thjngs we actually wanted. The breakfast buffet was good as was the breakfast at Grazie, but they were only open for breakfast one day during our stay.. We really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants for dinners, especially Hunters and Zen, just wish we had been able to get an earlier reservation. We wound up missing a lot of the evening entertainment because we were eating. Drinks were a little weak as expected at an all inclusive. The staff was hit or miss on the friendliness factor. Although some did go over and above, especially Brendan and the Dips swim up bar. He was amazing 11/10 customer service with a smile. He made sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying themselves. The spa staff was friendly and provided excellent services. "
"Beach was the highlight. Beautiful waters to swim or float. Didn’t have to wake up at 5:00am to claim your chairs which was nice. We went down around 7:30 and were the first few out there. Resort is compact which is nice. Short walk to the bar, restaurant or restroom from the beach. With the surrounding restaurants in the area it would be nice if the resort offered a partial all inclusive.
The one bedroom oceanfront room was excellent. Having the extra bathroom was a bonus. "
"We just got back from a wonderful week at Coconut Bay! Food was excellent, staff was great, so many activities. They also have a petting zoo with rescue puppies, goats, and horses which we visited daily. Can’t wait to go back!"
"Coco Palm is decent, locally owned 3 star hotel with a good restaurant and it’s close to the beach, shops and other restaurants. It’s a solid option for the budget traveller. We were a bit disappointed as it doesn’t look like it does in the photos on the website. The pool is nice but it’s not nearly as big as it looks in the photos on the website and on Instagram.
The rooms were clean and nicely appointed but there were a few deficiencies such as taps leaking, toilet not flushing and tv not working well. All of which we could live with. It is a just 3 star hotel after all. This is not Secrets! The air conditioner was new and worked extremely well.
The bed was not comfortable at all. It was like sleeping on a brick! The staff start making as much noise as humanly possible between 6-7am so don’t plan to sleep in!
Most of the staff were fantastic! Some were a little cool, rude and unfriendly at first but once they got to know us many of them warmed up. We were there for a week. We are Canadians and maybe they thought we were Americans at first.
Breakfast is average but it’s okay. The selection is same every day but there is a fresh egg and omelet station. Limited fruit choices.
Many people loved the restaurant food but we are foodies and chefs and so found it just average. As Canadians we found the food very expensive particularly for the portion sizes. Amazing crab cakes and cocktails however! Wine is decent and is reasonably priced.

"The views from our room were absolutely breath taking. The privacy was incredible for our occasion which was our honeymoon. The staff treated us like absolute royalty! We also thoroughly enjoyed the hike on the property, the handmade art available, and the beautiful restaurant on site. Another unique thing was the property provided us with a cell phone to contact them for anything we needed (taxi, directions, etc.) wherever we roamed in the area. We absolutely adored this place and hope to come back soon! "
"Shane was an incredible concierge and host! Seriously, he asked us our needs and delivered every time. All I hope is that our next time we cross paths with him again! Thank you for the wonderful stay!! "
"Friendliest employees I’ve met so far, very clean and the bar was stocked, air conditioning could be a little better in the rooms but overall 5 stars!!"
