"Very clean hotel with friendly staff. I guess it’s becoming the norm to rent sunbeds by the beach if you’re getting a more VIP experience, but I felt that this facility are just kicking the hole out of it, with the exorbitant cost of a sunbed just to sit at the pool. I would have liked to see an ice dispenser ‘somewhere’ on property. We had to pay room service rates just for buckets of ice. My complaint here isn’t so much about cost, but probably the inconvenience of having to wait 20-30 minutes for some ice and they waltz it to your room on a trolley, like you just ordered Dom Perignon! Casino is really small with only one blackjack table, so once the 6 spots are taken, you can’t get on the table …and I found the pit boss on a high chair above the table like a pool lifeguard just a little odd. I didn’t pay enough attention to the location when booking and thought it was in Cannes …but it’s 5 miles away, which I’m surprised I missed this when choosing this place. It’s a lovely beach walk, which we did once (one way) …but the rest of the time we had to pay €20-€25 each way. No biggie, but my mistake when looking at the map."

"Whilst the location is 5 star, the service most certainly is not: - Lack of attentiveness at check-in (no assistance with luggage), at breakfast service (had to flag down waiter on two days to get coffee), at lunch service (wrong order) - Impeachment of guest privacy / safety - twice staff walked into my room without my knowledge, one time catching me undressed - They asked me to change rooms due to a faulty mini bar but did not offer to pack my things or carry my luggage to new room - The door key needed resetting every day of my stay - No assistance with luggage when leaving the hotel Les Roches Rouges is a beautiful hotel but if you are discerning about receiving great service, you should think twice about staying."

"We had an absolute fabulous time at Mercure Frejus. We received outstanding service from Carole, she went above and beyond our expectations. She did everything to make our stay extraordinarily comfortable. Carole we can't thank you enough. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Positives as follows; Excellent views from the balcony, Rooms very comfortable. Great bathroom and nice shower. Pool side loungers very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Over nice hotel ambience. Direct access to a beautiful clean beach. Excellent location within frejus. Great nearby location to go for morning Jog. I would definitely stay here again if I was to return to Frejus. Thank.you Carole and the team once again for the exceptionally warm service."

"We had no major issues. The place is a bit tired to be honest and on our last night there of the 12 we had neighbours and you could literally hear them as if they were standing next to you due to the adjoining internal door. Overall satisfied and the staff were nice. We found the location good, we had a car but often walked the 20 mins to the train station to travel to other towns. Cleanliness was not an issue, would like the outdoor areas to be more usable, not overly private and the outdoor furniture would have been better being on a patio rather than grass. "
