"Very good restaurant. However, hotel building is old and does not meet my idea of a 4star hotel. Room not comfortable; no easy chairs to watch TV. Wooden floor, which was very noisy which disturbed my wife whilst sleeping. I can recommend the restaurant but the hotel is not in the same class."

"The property is lovely, although a little tired; the room was large with sofa, good storage and some strange wall hangings (think swords and battle axes!), but the bed was below par - two different beds pushed together that moved and were not very comfortable. The gym is good with a balcony that looks over the forest, and the spa was great with good massages and spa facilities. Overall, a recommend, but wish they would upgrade the bed, pillows and bedding to match to overall feeling of the hotel. "

"A very fully equipped country house with surrounding terraces and seating areas that can comfortably accommodate 10 people. The owner lives nearby and is not only very friendly but also very helpful when asked. In the bedrooms, with the number of 3 sockets per bedroom is a bit limited and three double beds are only 140 cm wide, where nowadays 160 cm is more or less the standard. As 5 couples, we really enjoyed our week and used more or less all the amenities such as the heated pool during the day and the wood-burning stove in the evening, and say a big thank you to the owner Tracey for all of that !!!"

"The property didn’t disappoint! It was exceptionally clean with a great range of activities. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, clearly putting a lot of thought into making this a great holiday experience. There were plenty of extras that kept the children entertained and the location was fantastic — the Friday market was a real highlight. Overall, a wonderful family holiday. Highly recommended!"

"We had a great week here. The house is well-equipped, and the pool is great — perfect for a group holiday. We left with plenty of happy memories. The only downside has been what happened afterwards. Two weeks on, we’re still dealing with a waste disposal fine we believe is unfair, with very unclear communication from the host. During the stay, the only issue raised with us was fixed straight away, and nothing more was mentioned. It’s a shame, because instead of just remembering the holiday, we’ve ended up discussing this when we get together. The place itself is fantastic and we’d have rated the stay higher if not for the post-holiday dispute.(Traduction automatique)Nous avons passé une excellente semaine ici. La maison est bien équipée et la piscine est superbe — parfaite pour des vacances en groupe. Nous sommes repartis avec beaucoup de bons souvenirs.Le seul point négatif concerne ce qui s’est passé après notre séjour. Pendant le séjour, le seul problème évoqué avec nous a été réglé immédiatement, et rien d’autre n’a été mentionné. C’est dommage, car au lieu de simplement nous souvenir des bons moments, nous avons fini par parler de cette affaire lorsque nous nous retrouvons.Le lieu en lui-même est fantastique, et nous aurions attribué une meilleure note sans ce litige après le séjour."

"A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included. "

"Accommodation is as described - clean and fresh. Pool is lovely. Comms with Wilfrid was very good - thank you Google translate. All was quiet and peaceful just 30 mins drive into Bergerac. Points for improvement- property is very new feeling with little thought to cooking practicalities- no chopping board, zero space to prepare food which is disappointing. BBQ was available apparently but never seen. Aircon essential and very good in living room but nothing - not even fans in the bedrooms. This was uncomfortable. Finally - and really sadly the WiFi wasn’t working. Wilfrid tried his best on the first night but no luck and no furthe communication as to why on when it would be restored. All that said - loved the setting and would return."
