The house was very beautiful and really well equipped in the kitchen. We really appreciated the large icemaker and two refrigerators. We were surprised at how far we had to travel to get to our dock, and the trail was very narrow. Really appreciated the golf cart to get to and from the dock
We just spent a week with our extended family and we couldn't be happier with our choice to stay here. The house was clean and spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the view was beautiful. Our younger kids loved the boat dock and were kept busy on the slide, jumping off the top and just floating in the water. You will love this home and the owners are very quick to respond to any questions.
The house accommodated our large group well. Room to gather together or to spend some alone time. The dock at the lake was nice and relaxing when the weather was good. The trip down to the dock was not for the faint of heart whether on the golf cart or walking. Management was quick to respond to our needs.
Well kept, could not use the pool as it was very dirty. It was a beautiful vacation for our family. I would definitely come back to Norris lake but would prefer to be closer to the water. The screens to the back porch need repair. The drains in the tub showers need attention. But all in all it is a beautiful place.
Home was more than sufficient for our party of 10. Love that each room had a king bed and it’s own bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped with two fridge and two dishwashers. The ice machine was definitely an added plus! We did have some issues with the stovetop, couldn’t get water to boil and one of the refrigerators took two days to get items cold (we were told it could take 24 hours). Location is great, can see the jumping bridge from the deck and very close to Sugar Hollow for Gas and Food. The only reason I didn't give this property 5 stars is the location of the boat dock in relation to the house. We had a very expensive boat docked there that we could not keep an eye on and the travel to the doc was a bit scary. It can be walked if your in really good shape and there is a golf cart available. But I would not recommend the ride for children or elderly.

Read reviews before renting!
Rented this for a bachelorette party. House was great place to host 16 people. The lake was nice, and the double decker dock was perfect for playing games and storing floats. It’s about a 15 minute drive to the marina and a 10 minute boat ride. On the other side of things, there were multiple aspects we didn’t have the best experience with in the house. The main thing we felt was not just an inconvenience but unsafe was the path down to the lake. The path was incredibly difficult for anyone carrying anything or not able bodied. I can imagine a family with small children or anyone elderly or disabled having a lot of trouble getting down there. The ramp down onto the dock was incredibly dangerous, especially in the rain. The lake is low, so the ramp is very steep and slick. We were slipping and sliding trying to get coolers down and up the ramp, and once it started raining we had to crawl up and down it in order to avoid slipping and falling. The golf cart was useful to haul things like coolers, but driving it down that path was very treacherous, especially when it rained. It was extremely dangerous with an experienced driver, and they still experienced sliding on the path. The path is long and far from the house, it takes about 15 minutes to walk and parts of it are steep.
As far as the house itself, the beds were uncomfortable and very squeaky, which made sharing rooms without waking anyone up difficult. The beds also had to be made by us upon arrival, which was not included

Lake not easily accessible/Rude property manager
As our family has grown over the years it’s difficult to find a place to comfortably sleep our whole group. We thought this property was perfect since it slept 25. It’s a beautiful home with a nice, spacious layout. The accessibility to the lake, however is NOT good especially for a large group. The golf cart is a nice addition but we literally had to make 6 or 7 trips to get everyone to the lake and it’s a rough terrain to get there. So if you’re looking to spend a lot of time at the lake with convenience getting back and forth to the house (snacks, restroom breaks, etc.) plan on that being a chore. My biggest issue came from the property manager after we left the property. Upon arrival we have to report anything wrong with the property. We submitted pictures of everything just as instructed but didn’t come across a shower curtain that had been pulled from the wall until that bedroom occupant took a shower on Saturday morning. We immediately took a picture and reported it. A week later I received a notification that my card had been charged $300 for this repair. I immediately called & spoke to Mike who explained that there is no way this wouldn’t have been noticed until the following morning. I told him it was noticed when the shower was used and he says it should’ve been noticed as soon as someone entered the bathroom which isn’t true, the shower curtain was closed so it couldn’t been seen. He called me a liar and said his cleaning crew would’ve noticed it.
Upon arrival I found that the property was not the same as the pictures. The pictures showed that the boat dock was visible from the house describing the walk to it was “short”. The truth was that the house was no where near the dock. Rather it was a difficult and treacherous walk down a very steep hill. The golf cart path was also very difficult to maneuver since it is a dirt path and only one lane. Meeting another cart or people along the path made it impossible. Both the cart ride and walk were frightening.
The dock was nice. The children enjoyed the slide, jumping off & being able to swim.
The house itself was nice and had a good floor plan. However, the mattresses and pillows were horribly uncomfortable.
The morning after arrival I called the host to report pre-existing damage. One problem was a broken light globe over the kitchen island. The glass had not been cleaned up adequately causing my daughter to cut her foot. The host was previously aware of the broken fixture and was somewhat reluctant to send someone to remove it. She then agreed after being told that they were responsible for any injuries and that I wanted it removed. She never asked about my daughter’s well-being. She told me that she had 40 other renters to handle also. Very poor customer service.
The lake is beautiful but I would never use this company again.
The house was beautiful! The path to the dock was definitely steep but it didn’t bother us much, and the double decker dock was great! The kids as well as adults loved jumping and sliding!
Awesome lake house! Extremely nice, spacious and overall perfect for our large group! We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. We will definitely stay here again!
Excellent Stay with one of best views on the Lake!
We were very impressed with the layout of the place as it accommodates many families very well. Every room has its own bathroom and there are duplicate appliances where makes sense. On a great cove with a short walk to the lake. Short boat ride to the best marinas. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Property manager was great to work with. We had a few issues while we stayed and they were responsive in getting them taken care off. Place was great and the drive down to the dock was good.

BEWARE! We were treated unfairly by this owner and you could be too.The “driveway” is red mud and gravel. We stayed at the house on a rainy weekend in November. We did our best to keep all shoes at the door and clean up any floor areas that got muddy. The owner not only charged us for deep rug cleaning of all carpets in the house, but charged us for replacing the towels we used to clean up the floors! A total of 226.What’s worse is that when we tried to appeal the charges, they denied any appeal.I have never written a totally negative review of an owner and I waited a month to write this one just to make sure my emotions did not influence my review.I just thought that future renters should be aware of who they are dealing with. If you don’t want mud in your house, then pave your driveway and don’t have a mud driveway.
Had a large group of adults staying here. Loved the property and surrounding areas. Had plenty of room for everyone. Dock was a little hard to get to, but was very fun and enjoyable. Only thing was we didn't realize the bed sheets were not already put on the beds and we had to go around and put them on at like midnight the first night. Still overall great property and trip.
All of our family members truly enjoyed our stay, the house turned out to be better then we anticpated. Good thing, the weather was less then desirable and having a real "chef" in our group proved to be valuable. We used the fantastc kitchen to it;s fullest dfurng the several rainiy days. Our chef did "cookimg demos" and we did some hands on recpies that many helped prepare. Al and all, a memorable vacation for our family!

Great house, terrible water access
The home was beautiful, great layout very clean and spacious. Well equipped. Not a good fit for groups with elderly people, young kids, or people who are out of shape. The trek from the house to the boat dock is less than desirable. Very VERY steep inclines and declines, sharp turns all on a 4 seater golf cart. 8-10 min cardio driven walk from house to dock. Perfect view of the jumping bridge from the house.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Beds were great quality and very comfortable. Kitchen was extremely well stocked. The huge dining room next to the living room made it so nice for everyone to hang out in the same space. The fireplace wasn’t working but we were understanding that not everything works 100% of the time and they made an effort to make sure it got fixed and we did get to enjoy it our last evening there then.
Chasing Wake exceeded our expectations. The property was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and the cleanest VRBO home were have ever rented. Views were lovely and the weather was perfect. We had a question about the fireplace, and the property management was immediately responsive. We definitely would stay at this gorgeous home again!
Britney and crew delivered an amazing experience that saved our vacation to Norris Lake (after another property owner kicked us out of his house because we complained it was dirty and disheveled.)
This house is beautiful, spotless, and perfect for a large group of multiple families. The kitchen is gigantic and having 2 refrigerators and dishwashers was outstanding. The supplied golf cart to get down to the amazing dock was absolutely phenomenal and we could not have had a better experience with Chasing Wake. We will be back!
From check in to check out this place was great. Beautiful new house with golf cart to carry people and items to the dock. Kids loved playing at the dock.
House was stocked with all necessary items.
