Welcome to Country Pines Cottage! Our one level, open floor plan cottage is located on a quiet, private road in the beautiful countryside of Westby, WI. The cottage is close to many local attractions, hiking trails, trout fishing, Amish community, canoeing, and much more. Here you will find a peaceful setting to sip your morning coffee as you look over the hillside of hay fields and farm crops. If you are visiting in the Fall, touring the area’s colorful foliage is breathtaking. Close by you will find local apple orchards, wineries, and all that the Driftless Area has to offer.

This charming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage comfortably accommodates up to five guests. The kitchen is fully stocked and features brand-new appliances, making it easy to whip up your favorite meals. Step out onto the deck to enjoy a meal from the gas grill, or unwind around the outdoor fire pit—perfect for telling stories and roasting marshmallows under the stars (please bring your own firewood).

All bedding, towels, dish soap, and other essentials are provided for your stay. Surrounded by open farmland and wildlife like deer, pheasants, and rabbits, this peaceful retreat offers a perfect escape into nature. On clear nights, don’t forget to look up—shooting stars are a regular sight in the expansive night sky.

The farmhouse cottage is located in the country, yet close to everything you might want to experience. For the outdoorsy, we are close to Class 1 fishing streams, the famous Driftless area where hiking, ATV, horseback riding trails are abundant, and the Kickapoo river for canoeing. Are you a shopper? You can take in the Amish shops and visit local antique stores. The cottage is centrally located to all the attractions.

Relaxing and quiet location

Beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful weekend getaway here. The cottage had everything we needed, location was in the beautiful Amish country side, the stars were really pretty at night and we loved hanging by the fire pit. Hope to rent again soon!

Overall, this is a wonderfully relaxing cabin with a beautiful view. We saw the northern lights just out the back door. The host is always very helpful.

This property is immaculately cared for, private, and includes little touches which show its owners want you to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed the fire pit with wood provided, outside chairs, gas grill and amenities within ranging from games and books to little touches that made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this cottage.

Great Country Cottage!

Second Visit

This was our second time staying at Country Pines. Betty and Dan were very responsive to our needs, the "cabin" is clean and nicely appointed. The setting is beautiful with lots of places to walk. The Sparta-Elroy Bike Trail is a short 30 min drive. We had a wonderful time, and hope to be back again in the future.

Wedding Weekend

I highly recommend this VRBO. The property was very clean and tastefully decorated. It has everything you need. The best part is the seclusion of the property and when walking down in the meadow the silence is deafening. We will definitely be back.

Peaceful getaway

Fishing the area with my daughter

Great Experience

We had a lovely experience staying at Country Pines! The host was responsive to messages prior to our visit and the house was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed playing the many games they had and watching a family movie on the smart TV. My husband especially loved the close location to great trout fishing, which was the main reason for our trip. Beautiful setting, clean home with plenty of thoughtful touches including water bottles in the fridge, K Cups of coffee, soaps on the bathroom and games to play or books/magazines to read. We look forward to staying here again!
