The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to everything required for the holiday. The staff were all very helpful and adviced about the things to do locally. Good local knowledge. The pool area was very clean and the kids had a blast as it was only them using it for the hour allocated. The rooms may need upgrading a little bit with deco and flooring Bathroom was clean. Overall good, would have been excellent if the room deco was updated.

We recently stayed at Hotel Albert 1er for our honeymoon and had a mixed experience. The hotel’s biggest strength is its location. It’s steps from Place Masséna, directly across from the waterfront, and within easy walking distance of Old Town Nice, restaurants, shopping, and public transit. Unfortunately, several aspects fell short of expectations. We booked a Triple Sea View Room, but the view was primarily of the park across the street, with only a partial view of the sea from one side of the room. We also paid for early check-in but arrived to a room that did not appear fully turned over. Front desk interactions throughout our stay were less welcoming than expected, especially compared with the helpful communication we received before arrival. Noise was the biggest issue. Outdoor concerts next door took place nightly until around midnight, and the rooms were not well soundproofed. Music was clearly audible every evening. As this appeared to be a recurring event, advance notice would have been appreciated. The room also lacked amenities we would expect at this price point, including a refrigerator and in-room iron or steamer. The TV offered limited channels, streaming features did not work, and ventilation throughout the room was poor. The bathroom had very little storage space, and there was a persistent unpleasant odor in parts of the hotel. Overall, while the location is excellent, the experience felt below expectations for a 4-star property.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location right on the Promenade des Anglais. The room was comfortable and very clean, the staff were friendly and professional, and everything was within easy walking distance. A wonderful stay in Nice – I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The staff at the front desk are amazing and very helpful

The web site photos make the building look huge and elegant. Not so. It was a very plain hotel in a residential area. The rooms do not have a closet or drawers to unpack your luggage so if you’re planning on staying for multiple days, this makes it a bit difficult. There is a wall area with a few hangers but not a closet. The fan in the bathroom did not work and when I inquired on this, they did not have a solution of the problem.
