La Antigua Hotels, Carmen de Apicala

The best time to go to La Antigua is during the dry season, which runs from December to March.During these months, you'll experience consistently clear skies and comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. This is ideal weather for exploring the town's cobbled streets, visiting historical sites like the Iglesia de San Francisco, and enjoying outdoor activities without the interruption of rain. It's also a great time for photography, as the natural light is often excellent.Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find this period particularly appealing. The pleasant weather allows for leisurely strolls through the town's well-preserved historic architecture and relaxed evenings dining al fresco. Many of the town's boutique hotels also offer inviting courtyards, great for enjoying the mild evenings. For solo travellers, the dry season offers the most opportunities for hiking and exploring the surrounding countryside. Trails to viewpoints like the Cerro de la Cruz are more accessible, and the generally good conditions make it easier to participate in organised tours or activities.
