Property's upkeep was top notch extremely clean. The creek by the cabin was stunning and very relaxing to listen too. Sitting by the campfire was even more enjoyable from having the creek as a backdrop for the fire 🔥. Parking was easily accessible. Our host went above and beyond with sites for us to explorer. Will definitely visit again...
Property was as described. Very clean and comfortable. The cabin had plenty of towels, cooking pots & pans. The peaceful quiet and the river that runs at the back of the property made this a very relaxing stay. There is plenty to do in the area: hiking, kayaking, golf and sightseeing. Check in and check out was no problem. *** One of the top three properties I have stayed with VRBO in the last ten years***
We came up for a wedding as a group of friends, host was incredibly easy to work with and even allowed the bride & her bridesmaids to get ready at the vrbo, with the most BEAUTIFUL backdrop ever!!!! Some of us had never been to the UP and the VRBO was the perfect place to experience everything!! We left as a FAMILY and made memories for a lifetime!!!! Thank you so so sooo much for letting us use your special space!! We can’t wait to be back someday soon!
We brought our puppy to the Keweenaw to explore the Huron Mtns, L’Anse, and many of the dirt roads and waterfalls in the area. This property is not far out of town, but far enough to feel far away. Well kept, clean, and private. In the middle of ORV country. We changed plans for our last day-and-a-half, to spend more time on the property, and just recharge our batteries. This is a special place, and we would definitely return.
We took a quick family get away to the UP from southern WI for our daughter's bday...took the UTV, trails abound...it was a last minute trip...it did NOT disappoint!!! The sound of the river alone was worth it!!! Loved the cabin! Kids always enjoy a loft, water was nice and hot for showers and bath! Check in and out was easy :) We just keep dreaming of owning our own someday, in the meantime, thanks so much for sharing! Second time to Lake Superior now...there is so much to see in the UP! Hope to be back someday!
Our stay was for a sxs trip. Plenty of parking for our 2 trailers and trucks, property is right on an ORV route, the trails were fantastic in this area.
Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Had everything that we needed (please, need a better can opener though). Host even provided coffee, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Cons: The loft bedroom isn't really private and the steps going up are quite steep.
Overall I would definitely recommend this cabin and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we only have 4 of us on our next trip.
This lovely clean cabin sits on a piece of property surrounded by a river that lulls you to sleep at night if you sleep with the windows open. It was spotless and had all the amenities of home. The owner responded extremely prompt and was instrumental in suggesting nearby sights to see. To clarify the listing description, my only comments would be that it does not technically have a private second bedroom, as the loft is used as a bedroom, and the beds in the loft are full size, so if you are used to a queen or larger they may be small for two. The stairs to the loft are steep and at night you may want to leave a light on so you don't miss the bottom step. But hands down one of the nicest properties I have stayed at and loved the rural setting and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Just lovely!
We have been vacationing in the U.P. for over 20 years, however this was our first vacation in the L’Anse area. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, clean, and peaceful. What a beautiful cabin and location, we loved staying there.
