About this property
Luxury Highland home. Ideal for family holidays, walking distance to sea & pub.
Creagan Mhor's USP is its position. From every window you can see the sea, mountains or Skye. Its was built in 1865 and is a restored Free Church Manse. Creagan Mhor, is less than a mile from the village of Glenelg. It is one of the most spectacularly positioned houses on the North Western Sea Board - at the top of the Sound of Sleat, a short kayak ride from the wild and beautiful South Eastern side of Skye. The house looks down the Sound with breathtaking views of Skye, Gavin Maxwell’s Sandaig, Eigg, Rhum and Ardnamurchan point. Creagan Mhor itself, set in nearly an acre of land with access to the beach, from a gate in the garden, is marked on Admiralty maps. Creagan Mhor [meaning large rock, which you can’t miss on the beach] is situated half way between the village and the original ferry to Skye, the house is quite simply unique. Lovingly renovated to a high standard, it is warm, spacious, friendly, bright - and magical.
