"Lovely people but there was no electricity when we arrived after a long drive (tree brought power lines down) so no hot water and no fridge for the wine we brought. I booked because of the balcony and fridge with the intention of relaxing with a glass of wine after a shower. Instead we had to go to a bar, unwashed, to eat and drink. The power cut wasn’t their fault but there were no solutions suggested to us. "

The surroundings are stunning, with lush greenery and charming mini water features that create a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The pool was impeccably clean and refreshing, making it a great spot to relax. The host was exceptionally friendly and attentive and fulfilled all my requests, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Communication was a breeze, thanks to WhatsApp, which was brilliant for me. I highly recommend this lodge for anyone looking for a serene getaway with fantastic hospitality!"

"Pleasant green surroundings for a Johannesburg hotel, with spacious rooms. But the food and drinks prices were very expensive for the area so bear this in mind. I was disappointed also that the one treadmill in the gym was not working and I was not permitted to run around the grounds"

However, the lodge itself could use some renovation — the interior furnishings are quite tired and worn, and the overall appearance feels dated. On the positive side, the location is excellent — very central and in a safe area, making it easy to explore the surroundings. With a bit of refurbishment, this property could truly stand out. "
