Come to Kure Beach, North Carolina and bask in the warm weather and warm friendships to be found on Pleasure Island! Walk into your oceanfront condominium and discover the ocean scenery up close. From your top floor deck, marvel at the beauty of the ocean, enjoy a morning coffee, and play with the birds. A beautiful sandy beach is just a few steps away with direct beach access and an outdoor shower. If you're an early bird, you can have your coffee on the deck and watch the sunrise over the Atlantic, a breathtaking sight to behold! Watch the dolphins play and the pelicans soar - how could you not find relaxation here?

We have one assigned parking space in front and a guest parking space just to the left of the building. We have an elevator, so you don't have to climb stairs with all your food and luggage. Also, because this vacation condo is on the top floor, you won't have anyone above you stomping around!

When you arrive, you will notice glass sliders with a great ocean view from both the living room and the primary bedroom. Your vacation rental comes completely furnished including all the kitchen and household supplies, a smooth top stove, and Pergo flooring. All you need to bring is your food. There is a queen size bed in the primary bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. We have a new (Oct 2022) washer and dryer. Because we are an end unit, you have added windows on the side to let the sun in too. You will also have complete access to three outdoor pools and an indoor pool at the Rec Center. We hire only the best cleaners to make sure you don't have to worry about the appearance of the condo when you arrive!

Ocean Dunes HOA manages the pools and rec center. We are not responsible if they are closed, nor does this qualify you for a discount/refund.

Great week!

Great view of ocean, nicely furnished except for bowls. Especially appreciated having washer and dryer in the condo. They are small stackable unit but still made it very easy to keep things clean. Cable worked well even during bad weather so it was easy to stay in. Easy drive into Wilmington, enjoyed activities at south end of island. Nice beach for walking and lounging.

Despite Debby most of the week, we enjoyed the condo. Never lost power. The management co was very responsive. They replaced the toaster with a toaster oven within 2 hrs of reporting . Zip tied the hurricane shutters banging against condo and brought towels to handle water coming in bedroom door. Manager assisted w/luggage, 4th flr due elevator inoperative.

When can we come back?

We LOVED the place. It was one of the few places where it is better than pictures. You'd have to park a hut on the beach to be any closer to ocean. Yes, clearly we had the remodeled bathrooms. I don't know what to say without gushing. We will most definetly be back (and we have a 2 days drive) Cleaning crew was white glove spotastick. Complaints: weather was chilly..I had to talk to my kids and play games...taboo needs batteries, darn their luck that I carry dice and cards.

Many problems

At first glance, this looks like a nice unit. However, there were many problems. Among them: dryer lint trap is broken and interior severely rusted; limited dinnerware (7 plates - had to run the dish washer every day); vent fan in second bath is falling out of the ceiling; three of the four chairs are broken (this was in a previous review); furniture is very uncomfortable (we had to pad the couch with our pillows); we tried to access the storage room that housed beach chairs but there was so much junk piled up outside the storage unit, we couldn't get anything out. The unit was mostly clean. There was a line of mold around the base of the shower. And, the baseboards were nasty. And, the cleaning crew left an envelope suggesting a gratuity. The management team called and sent a text message about maintenance on the A/C. They gave the entry code to the technician, and they voice mail said "we trust these guys.". I was at the pool without my phone and didn't get the message. The technician arrived within minutes of my return and knocked. But, if I had been busy, in the shower, or returned a few minutes later and found a strange man in my unit, I'm not sure what I would have done. And, I feel they put the technician's safety at great risk. The indoor pool was okay, chilly,but usable. The women's changing room smelled like urine -- needed a thorough cleaning. I purchased the linen package but did not get any kitchen linen (dish towels). The linens we did get were very nice. The only truly good thing about this unit is the view. We would not stay here again.

The deck is very nice to sit on and relax and watch the ocean and sunrise! The apartment was very clean and well cared for at a reasonable price. The owners/management were professional and easy to work with when questions arose. This part of Kure beach is down toward the end close to Fort Fisher...very relaxing and peaceful. Would highly recommend! Can’t go wrong with this rental.

I had read previous reviews about the rocky beach but wasn't aware how many rocks there were until low tide. It may not be a safe area for small children. The overall unit was nice and had updated flooring, kitchen and baths; however, the living room and dining room furniture needs to be replaced. A four slot toaster would accommodate a party of six better than the two slot provided. Some suggestions might be to provide more silverware, a handle for the slider for the outside sliding door, pizza pan, pizza cutter and more pot holders. Our overall experience was nice and with the suggested changes I would recommend this property to a friend.

Great Vacation

We loved the condo. It was clean and nicely decorated. The elevator was certainly a plus. We appreciated the starter products. We were surprised to find out that the parking for this unit is not under the building. It would be nice to know that before booking. There is not much room to park a full size pickup truck.

A wonderful and relaxing experience

When we opened the door to the condo, we were impressed right away. The layout was comfortable, the two bedrooms and baths were set up nicely, and the view was spectacular. Being on the 3rd (actually 4th) floor, you have a great view of the ocean. Being an end unit, it is also more quiet and private. The condo was very clean, although the shower in the master was showing it's age, but then again, everything rusts at the beach. We ate our dinners on the deck and truly relished the view. Looking forward to a follow-up visit. The management company was so easy to deal with, and the info provided in the app made it easy to walk right in the door. My two requests would be better directions to the unit in the building, and a new flatbed cart to haul our luggage up the elevator and to the condo. It was shot. Our thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely condo.

Nice place but rocks

People should be aware of big rock outcrops on water’s edge. If kids or others go in at high tide where rocks are covered, it is dangerous. Can’t swim in front of condo so you have to move up or down beach. Otherwise it’s a nice place. I would rent again. Small for 6 adults because only 2 bedrooms and sleeper sofa folded out takes up living room.
