Khao Jam a Thai inspired version of the the Kelantanese Nasi Kerabu. Kelantan a northern state of Malaysia bordering Thailand incorporates an interesting mix of Thai, Malay, Chinese and Indian ingredients and cooking techniques in its cuisine. This state which is still underdeveloped compared to it’s contemporaries does not have fancy fine dining restaurants but often homely family run restaurants. Situated right at the main street, thus very very loud (troughout the whole night). It was hard to get some sleep! Bed sheet with some stains and charcoal is used as room odour which is pretty weird for us as Europeans
