Despite booking several Months in advance we were given a room that ‘had not yet been renovated’!
Room was tired with chipped paintwork, tired kitchen and bathroom and had not been cleaned very well with an old water bottle under the sofa and various dust and other bits under it the bed…..and stains on sofa cushions…!
The main bed was very hard and so I asked for a topper which was supplied after reminding them a few hours later.
Hotel is a great location for Darling Harbour and Sydney CBD with friendly staff and nicely renovated reception…..maybe we were just unlucky?

"Room was dirty with blood stain on pillow, mould in the shower and hair in the shower. Staff were attentive when reported however should never happened. We had breakfast there as well. Not that great… Hotel rooms are dated and needs a total revite. Don’t stay at the Shangri La in Sydney. There are ..."
