Dat Hygge Huus - New vacation home in the immediate vicinity of the cutter harbor

A beautiful, new Frisian-style house, lovingly and tastefully furnished, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, accommodating up to 6 people, in an ideal location in Greetsiel. Very close to Greetsiel’s historic fishing harbour, yet slightly off the beaten track—in a very quiet location.

Ground floor:

The tastefully decorated entryway leads to the kitchen, which opens onto a light-filled and cosy dining and living area with a wooden beam ceiling. The state-of-the-art kitchen features a ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, and a Senseo pod machine. The large dining table comfortably seats 6 people, with two rolling chairs at each end that can be used to expand the seating area near the sofa if needed. The cosy sofa corner, where you can make yourself really comfortable—"hyggelig"—for relaxing or reading, is also perfect for long TV nights on a 50-inch 4K smart TV.

A spacious, comfortable bathroom with a 150 cm-long, ground-level walk-in shower featuring a rain showerhead, a sauna, a cosmetic mirror, and a hair dryer, as well as a bedroom with a double bed (two separate mattresses, each 80 x 200 cm), a wardrobe, and a second smart TV round out the beautiful ambiance on the ground floor. Important for people with disabilities who prefer not to climb stairs.

Upper floor:

An open wooden staircase leads from the living area to the ground floor, which offers a second shower room with a hair dryer and washing machine, as well as two additional charming bedrooms. One of the bedrooms features a large double bed (two separate mattresses, each measuring 90 x 200 cm), a third smart TV, and an adjoining walk-in closet. The third bedroom is furnished with a French double bed (mattress size 140 cm), two small wardrobes, and a cosy armchair. A travel cot for young guests is available in a small storage room, where you can also store your suitcases.

General information:

All windows are fitted with pleated blinds. On the ground floor, two windows facing each other, as well as the bathroom window, each have a fly screen. All bedroom windows are equipped with electric exterior blinds and fly screens. The entire house is tiled and features modern underfloor heating. Feel free to enjoy the board games and reading material provided for guests of all ages.

The fenced-in garden and the terrace—furnished with adjustable high-back chairs, a large table, and a parasol—invite you to
enjoy time outdoors. You can dry your laundry on the provided clothesline. Two parking spaces are located right outside the door.

Unfortunately, you cannot bring pets, as “Dat Hygge Huus” is an allergy-friendly home.

The holiday home is located in Greetsiel, a picturesque coastal town on the East Frisian North Sea coast. Set in a quiet and idyllic setting, the historic town centre—with its romantic harbour, famous twin windmills, and cosy cafés and restaurants—is just a few minutes’ walk away. The dyke landscape surrounding Greetsiel offers numerous biking and hiking trails with stunning views of the Wadden Sea. Thanks to its proximity to the North Sea and the East Frisian islands, the holiday home is the ideal starting point for relaxation and a variety of excursions.
