Following a renovation in 2021, we are now able to showcase the “Am Deich” house (formerly “Lükko”) with new photos.
Our stylish and uniquely furnished “Am Deich” house is situated in a prime location DIRECTLY ON THE GREETSIEL DIKE, a 5-minute walk from Greetsiel’s swimming lake, yet just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, surrounded by a beautiful, large garden where you can truly relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The garden is beautifully overgrown, and the trees, bushes, and hedge offer plenty of privacy. The sunny terrace is equipped with furniture, a parasol, and—of course—a kettle grill for all barbecue enthusiasts. The new garden shed contains badminton equipment, a beach ball, and other play equipment. There’s also space there for your bicycles.
The location is ideal for nature lovers and offers pure relaxation. You’re immediately surrounded by nature, the bird sanctuary, and the Greetsiel swimming lake (also very suitable for children)—perfect for a refreshing swim and a picnic in the summer, or relaxing walks during the cooler months. There are also beautiful routes for joggers starting right from the house.
You can walk or bike along the dike or the Siel to the North Sea and the Pilsum Lighthouse. From the house, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the idyllic harbour, the twin mills, and the town centre with its historic house facades and picturesque 17th-century alleyways. There you’ll also find a great selection of restaurants and shops. The wellness centre and the large children’s playground are also nearby.

Throughout the house, you’ll find thoroughly renovated, various antique pieces of furniture, such as a Biedermeier secretary desk from 1841. This gives the house a unique charm and offers plenty to discover. We deliberately chose warm colours to create a peaceful atmosphere. Since sustainability is important to us, we made a point of purchasing energy-efficient appliances for the house. We also value natural materials that create a pleasant indoor climate. That’s why the house is furnished mainly with natural wood furniture. There are also many original works of art to discover in the house.

This classic Frisian house is equipped to accommodate up to 6 people.
The house has 3 bedrooms (1 on the ground floor, 2 on the upper floor). The bedrooms on the upper floor have laminate flooring. One bedroom on the upper floor has a double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m). The second bedroom on the upper floor has two single beds (1 m x 2.00 m). The bedroom on the ground floor is furnished with two single beds.

The bedroom on the ground floor is completely separate from the living area and the kitchen and, like the entire ground floor, features high-quality tile flooring and underfloor heating. A library with books for children and adults is also available, so you’ll have plenty to read during your stay! On the ground floor, you’ll find the bright living/dining area with underfloor heating and very comfortable sofas, the high-quality, separate kitchen with brand-name appliances, and a spacious shower room with two sinks.

There’s a piano in the living room—feel free to play it! The garden shed also contains a large artist’s easel, which is available for artists to use.

The wood-burning stove in the dining/living area creates a cosy atmosphere on chilly days.

The house is also equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, a DVD player (with plenty of films available!), a Wii console, a stereo system (with CDs), several large boxes of LEGO, a second CD player in the lower bedroom, a few board games for the whole family, as well as pens, paper, arts and crafts supplies, interior blinds, a microwave, an oven, a dishwasher, a drip coffee maker, an espresso machine, a hand mixer, an ice cream maker, an iron, an ironing board, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, a towel warmer, a rain shower, 2 hair dryers (in each bathroom), a grill, and a high chair (in the upstairs laundry room). Fly screens are installed throughout the house. All beds are equipped with orthopedic mattresses. A selection of pillows in various shapes and firmness levels (including orthopedic ones) is also available in the house. Free private parking is also available.

This property is available for rent during the Easter and fall breaks for stays of five nights or more, with no fixed check-in day.
