If the morning fog still shrouds the valley, the sun is already shining in Hoch-Krimml at the Duxeralm, where the “Julia” holiday home is located on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park, about 1,500 m away. south of the Swiss pine forest. The two bedrooms are separate from the living/dining room, bathroom, kitchen, and hallway. A sheltered terrace overlooking the bay invites you to rest and relax. A fireplace in the living room creates a warm, cosy atmosphere. The dining set and furniture are in the Alpine style. Satellite TV, a CD player, and a stereo also contribute to your comfort. You’ll find hardwood floors in the bedroom and living room. There is one double bed in the large bedroom and one bunk bed in the small bedroom. Unlike the other rooms, the bathroom with shower and toilet is heated with underfloor heating. The kitchen meets today’s general standards.


Winter activities: In addition to skiing and snowboarding in the Zillertal Arena—which features 171 lifts and 662 km of slopes—the area also offers romantic horseback riding, tobogganing, curling, ice skating, and much more.

Summer activities: In the immediate vicinity, we recommend visiting the impressive, highest waterfalls in Europe, the wonderland of water, the Hohe-Tauern National Park, exploring the mines, Kaprun, or go emerald hunting in the Habach Valley. Hike to alpine huts across the many alpine pastures in Pinzgau and Tyrol, or in the Achental Valley to Austria’s oldest hut, “Tauernhaus,” with the magnificent glacier landscape at the end of the valley. Free swimming in the outdoor pool in Krimml with a view of the impressive waterfalls, or swimming in a reservoir. Bicycle tours and mountain biking.
