This is a very spartan hotel: rooms did not have fridge, microwave, hair dryer or shampoo. We were able to borrow a hair dryer from front desk and there is coffee and a small microwave there for common use. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is scenic with lots of pines around property, and there are many stores and restaurants within walking distance. Roads in front and behind and train a block south create a lot of traffic noise. Easy access to interstates 10 and 210. We felt very safe walking around even after dark.

Room was clean and quiet. Staff were kind and ok. The location is less desirable my room over look a run down apartment

This was a stay for just my friend and I. We went to see a DJ. We did feel safe as everything required a code to get in. Bathroom smelled like bleach and everything was really clean.

The room was a bit small but we loved the 50s style accessories and appliances. The microwave and fridge were really quite cute. We did not enjoy the shower because we stayed during Xmas week when the temperatures were in the 40s at night. The HVAC was a wall unit so the air did not circulate into the bathroom as there were no vents in there, so showering with a half open door was quite cold and uncomfortable. We also didn't feel like the water temperature ever got hot enough to our liking. We did love the adjacent restaurant, Swingers, and ate there all 3 nights of our stay. They have a large selection of choices and the food was delicious. The fact that it opened early and closed late, were big advantages. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and very accommodating. It was located conveniently nearby our places of interest, so it perfectly fit our travel needs. It is also located less than 2 miles away from The Grove. Would definitely stay here again, but most likely during the spring or summer seasons when cold showers are not a concern.

We had doctor appointments early at UCLA and decided to spend the night at W. The folks were very nice and helpful. The hotel is a bit tired. We had a room that was updated to a junior suite. The snacks and wet bar was good. The bathroom products can not be better. Davines from Italy. The bed was comfy too. The real problem is the air quality... The HVAC system is very tired. There are two zones. I used clorex wipes to clean the intake and outtake vents. I had to use several sheets. And they still need a lot of work. The windows have wooden shutters. They are very dusty too... Overall the W worked out for our trip. But I'm not sure we can stay there. With my wife's asthma and my allergies was quite a challenge... This was hard to write because the staff was so nice🙏🙏🙏 All the best Burton
