"This was one of THE best experiences I have ever had in all of my travels, including the two weeks in Japan. I struggled to decide which temple lodging to choose in Koyasan, and I am so glad I went with Joki-in. The check-in experience was wonderful, welcoming and helpful staff. They tour you through the entire property and help you adjust to temple life. "I read some very negative reviews about this hotel the night before I arrived. I found it super easy to get to from the airport. 1 stop on the subway and a couple of minutes from the station. Great when I arrived at midnight. Room was large & clean. Smoking room but I never noticed any smell and I am sensitive to odours. Next to elevator but not a problem. Just stayed the one night before leaving Osaka but I would stay here again! Great view in the morning across Osaka & Kobe."
