In summer, Chalet Alpensuss is the perfect base for walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists and nature lovers. From the chalet, you can explore the impressive mountains of Carinthia, East Tyrol and the Italian Dolomites. There are countless walking routes, mountain lakes, cable cars, cosy mountain huts and fun day trips in the immediate vicinity.

Just 400 metres away is Aquarena, a water park with indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, a sunbathing area and tennis courts. During the summer season (late May to early September), you can book a swimming pass for the entire duration of your stay at a discounted rate through Chalet Alpensuss.

The charming village centre is about 500 metres away and offers supermarkets, shops, bakeries and a variety of restaurants and outdoor terraces.

Winter in the snow:

In winter, you can walk straight from the chalet to the slopes of the family-friendly Kötschach-Mauthen ski area, complete with a chairlift, T-bar lift and ski school. For those who prefer larger ski areas, Nassfeld – with over 110 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes – is about a 25-minute drive away.

The surrounding area also offers plenty of opportunities for cross-country skiing, winter walking and tobogganing.
